Download the latest versions of "Massive" Hakpak! Visit www.ironworksforum.com/efu If you find bugs, errors, or want to send comments or job offers (hehe), email me at webmaster@ironworksforum.com MAJOR Credits goes to: DLA Team for many creatures, items, placeables and Tilesets -- Lisa, GoneSailing, Proudfoot, ShadowHawk, Martin E, Den of Assasin's, Maleioch, Velmar, Schazzwozzer, *Danmar* Which helped me greatly, as did Joco on the DLA Forum, Brother Roth, Luna C, Lathspell, Magma. Also CODI, for all their awesome work! Ryuujin--GREAT guy. Helped me out a bunch! Baronrage, Xahlt The Winter,Nighthawk Kthoris, Geekgirljess, Spoonmerlin. Eldonorian, Lupin-III, Chanteur, Mr.X, Lucifer Church, Ice-Child, Anthraxcite, Chandigar (Amazing Tilesets!), s030363l! Gaoneng--I added most of his awesome work. Been following his NWN Custom work for years--excellent stuff! Never Roofers for their two updated tilesets--Come on guys, do the other stock tilesets!! :). I also added some items from the CEP Team v2.0 hakpaks, but what was weird, was I had my Massive v1.0 hakpak ready, then a beta of CEP 2.0 was out, so I snagged it, and looked at what was in there, and nearly everything it had that wasn't unique to CEP 2.0, was already in my massive hakpak! So we both have good taste, eh? So EFU doesn't need v2.0, We still run CEP 1.52, which is still awesome! And thanks to Maxam and his Classic Dungeon--kickass work, CTP Team and their excellent work (Doors!), Stoertebeker's Icons, JDA and his godlike Dwarven Halls! (Add on to it man!!!), LittleBaron & PogoMudder. Kelsys of Greenshore, ZippyGraphics Books, lord rosenkrantz Swamps, Ketaros - 1000 Icons Pack (The newer one) which is awesome, great icons!! Andrew AKA Lord Sullivan, WoRm and his grand tilesets. If I missed some authors, I didn't do so on purpose. Email me and I'll update the Credits list. NWN1 is NOT dead. It's just getting good! :) I didn't just combine a bunch of Hakpaks: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Besides putting the files together, modifying tons of ITP, UTP, 2DA's SET files and 1000's of other files, I am also a level designer, 2D/3D Modeler, Texture Artist and Animator, so I added loads of totally unique items to Massive v1.3! I learned so much at the DLA Forums, and got help from many there. I want to thank them, and Joco's Plugin was a godsend. Without it, I wouldn't have done any of them. I added the first ever Siamese Skinmesh cat! (Because I own--or rather HE owns.---an awesome Siamese cat. He's Ironworks Mascot in a way, and now a legend in my Escape From Undermountain Mod. When did you decide to make this Hakpak? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I've been getting a lot of questions about my Mod, Escape from Undermountain (EFU) and how it came to be, and the hakpaks. I actually had the Yawning Portal Inn and Level 1 of Undermountain open on the DAY the Original NWN1 was released. From there, I added daily, and added, and added until the expansions came out (And I was so shocked when HotU came out, as the beginning of the game was almost exactly like my mod) but then came haks, and patches, and the kickass CEP. Well, then I was like, "I want to make some stuff!" Because I started drawing at 2 years old. :) Then, 2D way back in 1991 I started on Deluxe Paint Animation and Deluxe Paint IIe. Then when trueSpace v1.0 was out, and at the time, I began learning to design models. Then, on to 3DS Max, and Adobe Photoshop, and other Apps. I put a lot of money into graphics programs, and just love to design and create things. I've been doing this since then. Imagine if I was hired to do this, eh? I have pushed NWN1's engine now pretty far. One of the Model NPC's I designed was Elminster, and I even gave him a pipe, and puffs of smoke come out when he walks! :) Anyway, That's how it started, and from there, I learned all about the file types at DLA's Wiki and Forum, I read loads of posts in the Bioware Custom content forum, and then, created a directory named "NCMC". That stood for "New Custom Made Content". lol.. Thats where I would put all my files I would add to my new hakpak for EFU. Well, little did I know that over a YEAR went by--and nearly EVERY SINGLE DAY I would work 3-8 (sometimes 15) hours a day on this Hakpak. I put my life into this. It wasn't originally to be nearly 2 gig, but here we are, and I have another update planned. I want undead bodies to drag themselves at the player, that is creepy! :D And I need some new tiles for the cavern tileset (My favorite stock tileset). Anyway, I began to see just how massive this hakpak was getting--then it hit me. Massive. YEP. Its a perfect name for it, because it was nolonger a simple hakpak for EFU, this now became a Community type Hakset, and I WANTED it to be then. I wanted to give something back to the NWN1 Community, and knowing NWN2 was on the way, maybe this would bolster interest back into NWN1! I sure hope so, because IMO, NWN1 is far superior to NWN2. And we can still push NWN1 further graphically. I am looking into upgrading all the stock textures from 512x512 to 1024x1024. It would take a LOT of time, and would mean redrawing loads of textures, but maybe.... I didn't have a team to help me with this project, just me. It was really fun, and I'm not done yet! I am building a 24x18 tile group that will be for Skullport. It's HUGE! Right now, EFU has over 70 areas--and most of these are crazy-big. Nearly all the Undermountain levels are 32x32 big, and FULL of mazes, quests, treasure and monsters waiting to eat you! I chose "Escape From Undermountain" because I read a Forgotten Realms novel of the same name, by Mark Anthony (Which you should read, its an amazingly fun adventure Novel!) And I have a collection of 99% of every single Novel from the Forgotten Realms, so I know the 'world' well, and Understand which factions hate which, and so on... But EFU isn't just about exploring Undermountain. You can leave Waterdeep and go out on the Tradeway and visit the Trollmoors, the Trollbark Forest, the Haunted Isle, The Highmoors, and many more places! And the mod is online only still, and will remain that way until I finish it--I'm STILL adding new stuff every few days! :) I plan to have a ship to travel to the Jungles of Chult, or even go to the towns around the Moonsea region. Just watch out for the Dragon Rage! `·.¸¸.·´´¯`··..¸¸.·´´¯`··..¸¸.·´´¯`··..¸¸.·´´¯`··.¸¸.·´´¯`··..¸¸.·´´¯`··..¸¸.·´´¯`··..¸¸.·´´¯`· WARNING: Unzipped, the files total 2.8 GIG.
