I saw the Umber Hulks the first time I went to the cave near the village in Umar Hills. Oddly, they were not there at a later time. The golems that caused me to begin this thread were in the mage's home near the two thief guilds. I have encountered others in a number of places since then. (Some in the sewers, if I remember correctly.) The stinking clould tactic enabled me to overcome them. Since I couldn't overcome the golems in the mage's house, I pursued another quest. I have not yet returned.

uhh, dog meat stew is relating to a posible solution for a quest (the De'arnis Hold or something like that), since you dont seem to know what he was talking about, I can only assume that you are killing Golems and Umberhulks someplace else. I would like to know where exactly do you ran into both of those in the same place.
