You need a cheaper way of getting these things?

if single player. go to www.diabloii.net. search for naked lv99 characters in the warehouse. download it. after that you need to download ATMA muling also. unzip the lv99 characters. inside there will be lots of items for you which you can tranfer to your character. that's what the ATMA muling is needed for.

else if in bnet. do some trading or if you play in useast nonladder i see what i can do.

Yeah, no cheating, that makes the game less fun. :( Maybe I'll just wait for my friend to get back from vacation, and tell him to let me borrow his sorc gear. Is Bnet good? I've only done single player, and the only things I've heard about Bnet is about PKs and how to maximize exp.

Bnet is good provided that you found some good friends or trustworthy people to play with. I've played with some people from Ironworks on bnet before and it was fun.

Nope, duping is creating a copy of an original item so that you'll have 2 of the same item. If my memory serve me right you can copy the item file into your character and then delete the item in the other character later. Cheating is blatantly taking full advantage of an existing loophole to enrich oneself without much effort. Notice the difference in the wording? ;)

Exactly. Notice what you were suggesting with those 99 chars posted in the site? Same thing.

It also makes it cheating because you are "abusing oneself without much effort."
