heh, ambidexterous is fun... I'm one meself [img]graemlins/biglaugh.gif[/img] rather handy when i couldnt use my right hand awhile ago.. have tendonitis in my wrist :( at such a young age too... i blame ironworks for making me type so much ;) :D :D

Firstly - Cal's wearing Elven chain +2 underneth his tunic [img]tongue.gif[/img] which serves a a surcoat of sorts. Secondly - you dont know hes wearing chain. Btw, which set of DnD rules are we *loosely* following? 2ed or 3ed? personally, I think its more important that we have "fun". lol [img]tongue.gif[/img] but if we *are* following 3ed, you *can* choose feats. I can't remember if Elf chain counts as light. I'm not too familar with either of the rules :rollseyes:

He walked over to the blademaster and asked "Care for a closer look?" and held the naked blade across his palms, allowing everyone to see the hilt, and the dragons. In an amused tone Calaethis continued; "Alliene said I could make an animal or some other icon appear on the sword when she forged it - although, somehow I don't expect she intended me to go quite this far... I think perhaps I overreached myself a little - still, I am pleased with the result." he chuckled "I s'pose I should be more careful when melding my mind with a sword - I did not intend it to become semi-sentient; nor did I intend it to change colour according to my feelings." he paused. "its beautiful though." He admired his handiwork, first looking at Sssiks vress'lve, the golden dragon, whose body was curled and elegent, (a chinese dragon) and then at Sssiks'barra. "So, what do you all think?" And offered the blade to any who wanted to take a closer look. Calaethis didn't intend to show off - but he did want the others opinion. lol Cal, Zachana is once again perched on Alliene's shoulder and Avalon is currently curled contently in his cave. He *was* tired, but he *is* male, lol.

Verloren smiled, "It is truly a beautiful sword, and perfectly made. Tch, I should have made mine here!" she stroked Isan's emerald scabbard with her thumb with fondness, "I guess mine are perfectly fine though," they glowed from their scabbards in responce and she giggled.

Alliene smiled with her sister and addressed the party, "We have one weeks time to prepare for this battle. So practice your magic, sword fighting, what have you. I need to go speak with my mother for specifics. Zachana will remain here, if you want to wander about, she knows this place well. I'll see you all shortly," she bowed and left the room for her mother's apartments.</font>

<font color=silver> Calaethis looked impish for a moment, and politely bowed to Skye and winked at her, "Would you care to spar with me Skye? I have no desire to spar with the two children," he grinned and indicated Khalraan and Damion, "But I also have no desire to face the other blademasters so soon," he chuckled "Being beaten twice in a row by my betters would be a huge blow to my ego." He winked to show he was joking; "So the only other candiates are you, Shadow or Aeris;" he dropped his voice to a whisper "And to be honest, I don't feel like facing those two. I'm sure Shadow would cheat, and Aeris gets on my nerves. So that leaves only you. What do you say my lady?"

With it semi sentient like this you will be even that much more faster with it, it might react to the moves you make and therefor be that much quicker. I thank you for letting me see your blade. ooc- yes, *my* Damion [img]tongue.gif[/img] i dont think it will get too confusing.. Damion's only a few feet tall, a drow, and much younger than Dameon... plus they're spelled differently :D :D
heh, my char would be the only one to lose to Cal, methinks [img]tongue.gif[/img] that wouldn't be the reason he wants to spar Skye after losing to 2 others, is it? :rolleyes: [img]tongue.gif[/img] [img]tongue.gif[/img]

ooc- dont even get me started about aol Cal.. :rolleyes: I've been arguing with my parents for a few years now to get a cable modem and get rid of aol.. just recently my mom dnlded version 8.0 (took a day, bah) and the only thing that seems the most different is that the popup amount increased so now the screen likes to freeze from time to time.. <FONT COLOR=GREEN>Dameon draws one of his short swords out of the sheath. "Good Cal your defense stance is perfect." With that dameon lashes a vicious over hand stike. Which is easily turned by cals blade. "Good cal no excessive movement." Dameon then starts setting a rotine horizontal slash, vertical, thrust, diaganol slash. Cal blocks them all with relative ease. then dameon lets up on the attack and goes into more of a defensive stance endacating that cal should now attack.</font>

<font color=silver> Calaethis ignored the praise unwilling to let it go to his head; Only a few fought without body movements - most indicated their attack before they did by a couple of seconds. Calaethis strived not to fight with body language - and didn't attack imediatly, instead, he feigned an overhead blow, and mid swing turned it into a horisontal arc, then slammed the blade diagonally downwards. Dameon of course, blocked all of these. The young elf pulled the blade up vertically, which would have forced a lesser bladesman to take a step back; now Calaethis's blade was level with him, the hilt near his face, in a seris of furious attacks, he lundged, and got his blade deflected. His hand almost instintively knew which move to make, he decided it must be the swords influnce, for he'd never fought so well. Finally, he signalled a halt.</font>
