The next question is how are you going to get them onto Xbox ?
|
Working on Episode 14, but thought I'd share this...
Posted this in a few places... Well I have often blabbed that someone is going to bite the dust in Episode 17... and they're not coming back. Ever. Well ChessRook44 on the Neverending Nights forum got smart and looked at the credits page and saw a name he didn't recognize. Andrea. So he asked who she was. Not wanting to give away too much, I came up with a teaser wallpaper for Andrea. That's when WhiteWolf2k3 pointed out it would be rad to do a Teaser Trailer for Episode 17. Now, without a doubt Episode 17 is one that I am really looking forward to. Mostly because it does bring in the character Andrea, who won't be such a big deal in Season One - but she will have a huge part in Season Two and moving forward from there. So - I made a teaser trailer (it's not much really, did it in like 30 min or so, however)- be advised - this trailer may contain spoilers for Episode 17! Episode 17 - Teaser Trailer (Right Click Save As...) |
Oh and to better answer the question - the free program I use to convert them to PSP files is a program called "PSP Video 9."

Neverending Nights - Episode 14: Here Comes The Sand Again - (Right Click... SAVE AS...) Weighing in at our longest episode to date with 8:43 but a mere 27.3 megs of download, Episode 14 is a value meal waiting to be downloaded! In this episode Grayson and Peter ponder their fate in the desert and Grayson gets another visit from "Pat" inside his head! And perhaps the most astonishing thing? Peter proves to Grayson that he is a Great Hero! Download it, watch it, and tell your friends and family about it!
PSP Version: Episode 14 for the PSP. (Right Click... SAVE AS... 48.6 Megs) |
Neverending Nights - Episode 15: Reach Out With Your Feelings... (Right Click... SAVE AS...) still has our wayward would be heroes lost in the Aries Desert. However, always one to think on his feet (if it can be called thinking!), Peter the Ranger convinces Grayson to allow him to use another one of his 'Ranger' skills! The results... are less than successful. (But really, is that a surprise?) But Peter does do something ... new! So what is it Peter does? What 'Ranger' skill is he going to use? There's only one way to find out (well not really, but we're building up excitement here, so just bare with me!) - download this 23.5MB video that provides you with 7:46 of entertainment! And while PAT's voice remains difficult to hear... something will continue to happen to the voice that will make it ... easier to understand. But that would be telling... And who the heck is the little halfling in green wizard clothes? Could it be... Well, I will let you find out!
Neverending Nights - Episode 15: Reach Out With Your Feelings... for the PSP - 45.4MB (Right Click... SAVE AS...) |
Great stuff!
I always enjoy Neverending Nights. Now that little halfling that was the one that passed out in the bar right ? |
That's him! Alan the Astounding from Episode Six!

Neverending Nights: Episode 16 - Dessert City...? It's a trend that keeps on happening. Each episode seems to get a little longer than the last. This time we're looking at 10 minutes of pure NeN madness! However, this one will cost you 49.5 megs on your hard drive! But this one is well worth it's time and size! Not only do we have our two star studded would be heroes, Peter the Ranger and Grayson the Fighter - but this episode also has Guard Vern and Guard Douglas of the City of Ator! And not only does it have that - it even has Conner the Kid and Lady Lorraine! And if that wasn't enough talent to be crammed into one episode - guess whose back? That's right! Another update on Pawl the Dorf... and who does he run into? Well, if I said anything, that might ruin the surprise! But you're saying right now, "I downloaded the episode and didn't see Pawl the Dorf! I demand a refund!" I guess you didn't give us credit for being a little sneaky...
So go on. Download it. You know you want to. And when you finish. Show it to your friends. Your family. You know you want to do that too. And when you do that, rent one of those cool airplanes that do the writing in the air, and tell everyone in your city to download it and watch it. (Disclaimer: We're not responsible for injury if you do not possess a pilot's license to be flying one of those things)! The PSP version of this episode will be released in a few days. Speaking of the PSP versions of the episodes, please note that if you go to our video page, the URL for the PSP episodes HAS CHANGED. So if you were directly linking them from somewhere (which we do not mind at all!), please note the new URL and make the changes. All the new PSP episodes will be hosted on the new site on Adam's domain. |
The big hype with Episode 17 is - we have said SOMEONE who has been seen between Episode One and Episode 16 - is going to die!
We made a quick teaser trailer for it... Episode 17 Teaser - Streaming from Machinima.com Episode 17 Teaser WMV (Right click save as...) There's even a Episode 17 Theory Poll & Thread. So feel free to join us on our forums and shed some comments! |
And just a small (and quick) update. All the audio lines are done, we just need to finish filming and editing Episode 17 this week. We're hoping for a Sunday release at the latest!
In the meantime, as always, would love to hear any form of feedback - either here or on our forums. |
Neverending Nights - Episode 17: Heroes Bar & Keep and...? - Weighing in at just over 8 minutes, this one is going to cost you 32.1 Megs of Neverending Nights Goodness! This one has it all! It has ALCOHOL! It has NAKED PEOPLE! It has VIOLENCE! Yes, adults - time to cover the eyes of those kids! This one goes all out with the craziness! Okay, so maybe it does have alcohol, naked people (person!) and violence... but I guess it's not that bad! This episode has our would be heroes entering a tavern in search for some broth to consume after a long trek through the Aries Desert! Elsewhere, this episode also introduces the sinister... ANDREA! The pieces are coming together as we draw closer and closer to the end of Season One! Can your heart take it?
Feel free to comment here about the episode here or come on over to the Neverending Nights - Episode 17 Comment thread on Neverending Nights.com! http://neverendingnights.com/images/...-camp-blog.jpg |
w00t I always enjoy these episodes.
Feedback to come! |
Definitely eager to see what you have to say! I always start to worry, when an episode doesn't get a reply if I should continue with the updates. (Episode 16 got no replies) I hate to think it's a bother, but at the same time I know a lot of people have their forums they stick to and don't wander off into others. So I figured there were folks here who don't check our site, so posting it here, allows them to remain updated.
Okay, I am rambling now... but that's because for like five days in a row, I have been going to bed at 3am and getting up at 6am. Let me assure you, it's not good for one's mental state! |
Hello, folks. On several forums (ranging from RedvsBlue, to my own personal forum, to even our own precious forum here - several people asked us some Q&A (after stealing the idea from Tink and Ashlan)!
Now, the only one we're making available, is the LO-RES version. This is because the low res version is 97 megs all by itself. The high res version was something like 288 megs. Now I am more than sure no one wants to download a 288 meg file. I'd be surprised if anyone wants to download a 97 meg file of Adam and I answering some Q&A. If you're questioning the size of the file - it's because it's 45 minutes long! That's right, this isn't one you can just sit down and watch - you have to commit to this one. Now, I am also going to warn parents up front - this is not one for kids to watch. There happens to be quite a bit of swearing through the video. Another side note, I was originally going to edit it so that the questions were images, then you'd get our answers - but after importing this - I just loved the casualness of this video, and pretty much left it exactly as it is. People we answered questions from are: Nameless, Ariess22, Chessrook, Temptress, The Crazy Owl, Almirena, DiMono, Ashlan, LilMermaid, Kometda, Tink, Bryy, nmorris, Angelus7 and finally, Mank. Neverending Nights Q&A - An Evening With NeN - (96.8 Megs) - 44:29 in length - Download, enjoy and pass the URL to others! Thanks to all of you who took the time to ask questions, hope the answers at least amused you! http://www.neverendingnights.com/ima...-camp-blog.jpg |
I finally got around to downloading and watching the all 17 episodes of Neverending Nights, absolutely hilarious, tremondously well done Vaprakgruumsh (Tawmis), I look forward to keeping up with the adventures of our heroes.
If i was a damsel in distress, i wouldn't feel very confidant if these 2 were coming to my rescue. Well done. |
Quote:
Well... no damsel should feel very confident with these two headed out to rescue them... and to think - they're going to take on a Dragon in Episode 21! (Of course, we have a vicious cliff hanger to keep people interested and eager for Season Two's beginning!) I am very glad to hear that you enjoyed them - and by all means, feel free to tell others, and get the word around! Word of mouth is the best form of advertising (mostly because it's free) And rather than do a new post - I might as well attach this piece of snazzy news to this reply: Well, this certainly came to me as a surprise. So I check my email today - expecting to hear more back about the Machinima 2Thousand5 Submission... and I find something else waiting for me in my inbox. http://www.bitfilm-festival.org/bitf...-selection.gif Hello Tawmis Logue, Thanks for submitting "Neverending Nights" to the Bitfilm Festival. As you know, we have selected it for this year's competition. In some weeks the website will be updated with all relevant information on your work. So please check if all the credits and texts you have put into our database are correct. Of course you will get one or more free accreditations for the Bitfilm Festival. Unfortunately we do not have the budget to invite you, but if you want to come to Hamburg on your own we will do our best to help you find an accommodation that suits you. Please contact Lisa if you need help. Best regards, The Bitfilm team I am shocked because I submitted to the Bitfilm quite some time ago... Regardless, I can't recall what I submitted. If it was all of the episodes (up to a certain point) or a block of episodes! Interesting to hear what comes of this. So wish us luck for BOTH submissions! http://www.neverendingnights.com/ima...-camp-blog.jpg |
Dude that was bloody funny. Great job on the QnA.
Episode 17 was great as well and was extremly glad that you decided not to use one of the many nude Haks that are out there for Graysons escape. BTW after seeing the QnA I am suprised that Grayson didn't ask Peter for a $20 Great stuff! [ 10-01-2005, 02:28 AM: Message edited by: T-D-C ] |

As for Episode 17 - yeah, we didn't want to show actual nudity. We want to maintain the same rating that can be found in NWN. So we felt "real" animated nudity would have pushed it too far. So I think it's better to go for humor in NeN, then Crass. (We save the crass for the Q&A video stuff) :D And - so I don't have to post a new post... I might as well tack this on this post... Cancel your flight plans! No German beer for the NeN Crew! That's right! No flights to Germany for the Bitfilm festival and thus no German beer for the NeN Crew... I just got this in the mail... Hello Tawmis Logue, due to a technical error an automated e-mail has been sent to nearly everybody in our database with the happy message that we have selected your film. So you might have received two mails, a postive and a negative one. We are sorry to say that if you had not been contacted beforehand by us, your film has not been selected. Please check out the list of selected films on our website: http://www.bitfilm-festival.org/programme_e.shtml Best regards and sorry again if we have stirred up your emotions... The Bitfilm team Bastages. I am going to sue for mental malaise or ... or something. So here's hoping we make it in for the 2Thousand5 Machinima Film Festival. http://www.neverendingnights.com/ima...-camp-blog.jpg |
SUE SUE SUE! Or at least make fun of them in some whay in a future episode. maybe some type of magic punching bag with a German accent ?

Neverending Nights - Episode 18: Pepper Flavored? - A mere 18 megs in size - this short episode has our heroes meet an old friend from a previous episode! Also, that old friend apparently knows the location of... The Dragon? Could it be? Are the pieces all falling into place? As we draw closer and closer to Episode 21 - Season One's big ending - it looks like our heroes are on the right trail after all... And it only cost them like... five gold.
As a side note - there was an assortment of issues with using the original footage Adam had provided me. So most of it is refilmed, and limited to one computer, vs the four we normally use for Adam's. But I was lazy, impatient, and bored, so I didn't want to refilm it. So I think filming wise, it's a weak episode (because it's done by me, rather than Adam who has a good eye for what makes a good shot - but thankfully, it's short - so it shouldn't be too painful). You can comment over here. Enjoy! http://www.neverendingnights.com/ima...-camp-blog.jpg |
Two things!
If you enjoy Neverending Nights, and you enjoy MONOPOLY - well, we have just the answer for you! How about a Unofficial Neverending Nights Monopoly Game where you could use a pebble to "Kick Rocks" as a piece and use a blue (or green) dice to represent the "Ice Cube Monster" as a piece - rather than a boot, dog, or race car? Sounds crazy, I know! But have you seen our videos? We are that crazy! Speaking of our videos and crazy! Well, I had a free moment (between packing - in case we ever friggin' move!) - and got a little itchy. Didn't have everything for Episode 19 ready yet, so I looked to do something with the old footage. I ended up making a "Recap/Teaser" about Season One with hints about Season Two. Neverending Nights - Recap - (35.7 Megs, 8:15 in length) - there's nothing really new to be found here. And the music (Carmen Buana - O! Fortuna may tend to get a bit... bothersome as I cut and looped the music - and 8 minutes of intense music may wear and tear on the nerves). But like I said, I needed a small break from packing and this was the result. Feel free to download it and do what you will. http://www.neverendingnights.com/ima...-camp-blog.jpg |
Please head over and check out the latest news on Neverending Nights.. I am very excited. And so tempted to fly to New York for this event...
But I was also a little confused... And let me explain why! So I wrote and asked some more details about what all of this meant. After all, if you look here - You won't see NeN mentioned anywhere. And fearful of another "Bitfilm Incident" (where they accidently emailed EVERYONE who submitted and it said they got in) - I figured I'd ask for clarification. Quote:

Episode 19 will probably be out NEXT Friday (as in not tomorrow). Both Adam and I are flying out to New York to attend the 2Thousand5 Machinima Film Festival, since Neverending Nights was one of the selections for Comedy. (This means we're not up for an Award, but a small portion of NeN will be played during the show).
So we fly out tomorrow at 6:30am and will be flying back home on Sunday, and should arrive Sunday Eve. And I will probably begin editing either Sunday or Monday (depending on how wiped out I am). But you can probably look forward to a lot of pictures... |
Not a lot of replies... and I feel like I am shameless bumping (but they're legit updates!)...
Machinima 2Thousand5 Film Festival is officially over. If you care to see some of the pictures of the event, head over to the forum and enjoy! That's only a small fraction I am sure of the pictures to come! |
Sorry mate I really do enjoy the films that you put out. I also really appriciate that you take the time to let us know whats going on.
Suffice to say I really enjoyed Episode 18. Thanks for the updates! |
Not a problem! Very familiar with not having much time (just bought my first home... talk about chaos!) I just wanna make sure I am not giving off the impression that I am... spamming, if no one replies, ya know?
But as long as someone is enjoying it - hey, I am more than glad to continue with the updates! And speaking of updates... ... since we fubar'ed on delivering Episode 19 of Neverending Nights - we figured we would give you at least SOME kind of NeN Goodness! (How can we deny the millions - and millions! - of NeN fans some NeN tastey goodness?) I have a ton of out take audio to go through - and I plan on doing that this week (unless we get Christi's lines for Episode 19, 20 and 21) - so that way, we can at least offer some silly out takes as fillers, while we buy our time for releasing Episode 19! (EDIT: By Adam Freese. Tawm's a dumb ass sometimes. You can't type out our plan then say, as long as they don't know we're fine!). So anyway, this is not an out take reel. It is however, the small intro that we put in front of our submission to the 2Thousand5 Machinima Film Festival. It's about a minute and 20 (or 30?) seconds long. It's not much, but it's something! Well, who would have thought this day would ever come?! But yes - ladies and gentlemen! (Well, no real gentlemen come to this site... but anyway!) - I present to you - Neverending Nights - Episode 19: A Little Magic! (27.1 Megs - Right Click - Save As...) A small amount of disk space for about 7 minutes of NeN goodness! It just makes the world a better place, doesn't it? What's in store for this episode? Well, you won't believe when - ... You know. You have waited long enough. I don't want to spoil anything for you. So why don't you just go ahead and download it and enjoy, eh?
http://www.neverendingnights.com/ima...-camp-blog.jpg |
The folks of Machinimag.com have released the latest issue of their PDF online magazine! Lucky issue #7 proved once again to be our lucky number! Why's that? Is Neverending Nights mentioned? Well. No. Not really. But if you look closely - well, not even closely - you will see the ugly mugs of Adam and I both in the picture (Adam even got in twice!)
So go on! Download MachiniMag #7 (10.9 megs of goodness!) and give it a look! And don't forget to bookmark their site for future issue releases! These guys can't be all that bad if they're bold enough to shove pictures of Adam and I in there! http://www.neverendingnights.com/ima...-camp-blog.jpg |
So when Adam and I started Neverending Nights - we never really expected much. We hardly expected it to really go beyond five episodes. Now we're fast approaching Episode 21, the end of Season One! And it's been an incredible voyage so far!
We've been in PC GAMER UK, Interviewed by Bioware (the makers of Neverwinter Nights, as if you didn't know that already, right?), we were an official selection of the Machinima 2Thousand5 Film Festival, we've opened an online store, found ourselves mentioned on quite a few other sites and forums, found our videos on Machinima.com (the kind folks who also offer Quicktime Streaming versions!), we had a brief appearance in MachiniMag #7, and on and on and on. But you know what is always very cool to me? The "fans" of the series. When Adam and I kicked this off - like I said - we didn't expect to do more than five episodes before losing interest. We never imagined we would have "fans." We've been blessed enough to have a fan ask for our autograph, and even autographed TMRiddle's copy of Neverwinter Nights! Nameless, one of the users here (who doesn't pop in so much) even launched the first ever (and probably ONLY!) Neverending Nights Fan Site! We have also had Derek of OriginalConsole.com made a few cool NeN Wallpapers using his comic sprites, among other pieces of fan art by several others! All of that has been incredible - and I thought I had seen it all! Then, sotc comes along and surprises us by showing off a cool NeN necklace she had made! Talk about cool! I was totally floored! All seemed quiet in the fan section! Until just about a week ago. A user on our forum, SnafeDarkrold contacted me about a musical piece he had created, inspired by Neverending Nights. Naturally, I was floored to hear this. So when he sent me the piece, I really enjoyed it! I edited the file to include information about himself and NeN - and have uploaded the mp3 of Neverending Nights - Fanfare here! (Right Click, Save As... Less than a meg in size). So I just wanted to take a quick second and thank you all - whether you have done a piece of fan art, launched a fan site, made a necklace, or made a musical piece - or even if you have done none of that, and you simply enjoy our videos - Thanks! Now, I will cease my rambling for now and pass out. http://neverendingnights.com/images/...-camp-blog.jpg |
Hey Tawmis,
Just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed episode 19. Can't wait for 20 & 21. Thanks for the laughs mate! |
Quote:
I also wanted to stop by and wish everyone a happy holiday (whatever it might be that you celebrate - from Christmas, to just having some time off!) Enjoy yourselves! We had a Christmas SideQuest we had written up (ironically originally written LAST Christmas, that once again, we had no time to actually film and voice)! So maybe next year - or we might just do it and release it in Jan of 06. Anyway - once again, thanks for checking out NeN and happy Holidays! - Tawmis Neverending Nights.com |
The Holidays have come to an end, and all too early, the cracking of the whip of Real Life Jobs reminds us that we're not independantly wealthy! (Well, most of us aren't... myself included!)
And with that, and all the family visiting out of the way, the time to work on Episode 20 of Neverending Nights is finally at hand! What - you thought we forgot - this close to the end of the first season? No way! Life's just been hectic for the holidays! Work on Episode 20 begins tomorrow! All the filming and audio is done - it's merely a matter of cutting, splicing, and dicing it all together! We hope to have a release this Weds! |
YAY thanks for the update mate. I know how hetic the holidays can get.
Can't wait for some more NeN action! |

Well, I knew it would come down to this. Adam, the lazy ass that he is, with his lame excuses has been booted from FNBH Productions. And I noticed, as soon as I booted his candy little rump, production at the offices of FNBH Studios nearly tripled! And as a result, I am able to stand here, and tell you - at long last - Episode 20 has been completed! And more so, Episode 20 is now available for release! So come get you some much needed NeN goodness! Neverending Nights - Episode 20: Variety is the Spice of Life... (Right Click, Save As... 26.1 Megs)! In this episode, Peter and Grayson discuss the matters of money and how to spend it - and from where they stand - they can see the "Dragon Cave!" The end of their quest is nearly at hand! Meanwhile, not too far away in the Plains of Desolation, Andrea and Daniel make an appearance and explain why they're there - and run into some... unexpected company! A mere 26.1 Megs of goodness! You know you want to download it! http://neverendingnights.com/images/...-camp-blog.jpg PS: Unfortunately, I had to rehire Adam for the FNBH Studios staff, as the Studio is at his house, as is the recording equipment, with a slight fact that he pays for the domain (hey, do I still owe you for this year?!), and because, no matter how lazy he is - and no matter how much of a delay he causes Episodes to be released - he's still an all right guy. I guess. |
If you downloaded Episode 20, before 7:30pm PST on 01/20/06 - you should click the download link again and download the newer version.
Some fixes (wow, sounds like a video game!) include: - Raising the volume of some of the voices - "Fixing" the end scene with Andrea and the Eye Tyrant - Giving credits to Mario Garcia as the voice of the Eye Tyrant - Making it a slightly better version of the original! :D Now go and re-download it if you have the old one. The file name is the same (both as the zip file and the file within). So if you have a NeN folder with all the videos, when you unzip it - it should try to overwrite the original version (which I would recommend doing!) Now go on and enjoy Episode 20 version 2.0 :D |
Also, I forgot to add - we're asking What has been your favorite thing about NeN?.
Swing by our forum (the thread is linked here) - and let us know what it is you have liked about NeN. Was it specific characters? Something about the characters? Was it a given situation? Or perhaps a phrase or a few quotes? Whatever the case may be, head to our forum and let us know! We'd love to hear it! This way we can see what the people like, and as we write Season Two, keep those things in mind! Hope to see you there! |
Adam’s still in the process of filming Episode 21, and when we finally finish it and get it out there. I think you will quickly see why this one is taking a little longer. Not only is this our longest episode, but… Well, everyone you have seen in the series that had a speaking part, will be seen again. (Well, pending two folks who are having computer issues, getting their lines to us!) But other than that, yeah… It’s a monster of an episode. And what a better way to end Season One than consuming more of your time, which could be spent doing far more important things… like watching sand falling through an hourglass or something.
Which will lead us into Season Two. Season Two will not start immediately after Season One ends. On top of Adam working on the DVD (for the time being we can not out right sell the DVD, but a paypal link will be put up so that folks who donate 20 bucks or more to the site to help pay for monthly fees, webspace, upgrades, etc) will get a free copy of the Neverending Nights DVD. I am still going to try and get the official permission from the kind folks of Bioware to sell the DVD out right, and find out what those requirements would be, if at all possible. But for Season Two… I am very excited about it. Now that Adam and I have a much better handle of how everything works in terms of machinima, and we have spent Season One subjecting all of you to the various tests and trials we do; Season Two promises to be a lot better. And I feel like I can honestly say that. The jokes and storyline we have lined up should bring more laughs than Season One did, as this one is paced out quite nicely. And on top of that, we have a few additional surprises popping into Season Two - none which I can speak of at the moment, but just wanted to throw that out there to get your appetites wet for what that could be! Thanks for hanging out with us this far, and hope that it’s been worth it! Here’s to going forward and having a better ride… Or something. http://neverendingnights.com/images/...andtavatar.jpg |
Well it's been a long time and we have been busy! Episode 21 is being wrapped up - and it is, hands down - the longest episode to date! You will see just about EVERYONE who has had a speaking part in Neverending Nights appear in Episode 21 to some degree! Of course that means a TON of editing - which is what I have been doing all week! I was hoping to get it out by this Sunday, but that is seeming unlikely! (The wife is dragging me out to happy hour tomorrow, then Saturday "the boys" are getting together to hang out, do a bonfire, drink and play some XBOX)!
I am sure by the time Sunday comes around, especially after this week, the last thing I am going to want to do is edit. |
I wondered where you guys had got to with Ep 21. Can't wait to see it!
