How does one place a constant effect on an item? For example I have a soul gem with a deadroth inside, and I have an equisite ring that I want to put reflect and absorb spells on it. How does one use "constant effect?" Do I need a stronger soul gem?

Shortly said: Ascended Sleeper or Golden Saint into a Grand Soul Gem (they fit only there).
In the enchanting menu, select constant effect. |
yeah only the GS or AS work for constant, although trapping Vivec himself, he may have a constant......
|
dont think you can trap npcs can u?
|
I'm not sure if you can or not...I don't see why not. My esteemed...colleage, who is also playing the game takes it upon himself to "retire" everyone he doesn't like or that irritates him or if in a bad mood kills. For example he was walking through the streets of Balmora and someone said something and he was sick of hearing it so he enraged the dark elf, killed him, and took his money. But he never soul traps any of the creatures or people he kills. I might ask him to do so.

slaughtering innocents is great in morrowind, noone seems to care overly much when you get high enough ;) but im pretty sure you cant soultrap npcs
|
You can't trap NPCs, but Vivec can be trapped, and yes, he grants constant effect...
Just remember Vivec is really useful for the main quest (although not strictly necessary), so think twice before killing him. Also, he's quite powerful, although not as much as one could expect from a god |
yeah i killed him after i finished, don't try this before you beat the game!!!

woah, oops. I some how double posted.
|
well i tried killing him, i died with one hit .. hey im a mage so i have low hp right now and im only lvl 28. ill try again when im a wee bit higher
|
ah this guy sounds like a challenge, ill have to go find him to beat on is he harder than umbra?
|
Umbra is weeeeek in comparison. No comparison really methinks.
|
ooooo so definately a challenge then, hes not someone i can just levitate over and fire arrows at though is he?
|
CAsts a definitely nasty fireball (100 damage or sthg like that), but he seems to run out of mana quickly. Then he starts punching.
So avoid those 3 or 4 fireballs, use restore fatigue potions and chop him. Air strikes (arrows + levitate) should work, just remember to avoid those fireballs. Oh, a curiosity: if you kill him after finishing the main quest, you will find another copy of Wraithsguard, identified as Ancient Dwemer artifact. Take it to the only Dwemer you know, so that you can activate it (beware: save before wearing it!), and you will have two wraithsguards. Too bad you can only wear one. |
Vivec certainly is a god, but he was no match for Rageheart the Nord. My superior health (470) and my great sword (goldbrand) creamed him. His attacks are powerful, and i think one uses like 50 shock 50 frost 50 fire, and one punch can knock a very powerful man down.

You will all need to resurect him if you want to play tribunal, as he is aso involved in quests for the add-on. Just thought I'd spoil all the thunder goin on in here, Sorry
Hehehehehehe |
