Well, I can honestly say that I find this to be the crappiest summer I've ever seen. The temperature hasn't been above 22 degrees Celsius, it's raining most of the days. So much for the global warming!! As a hardworking *cough* student, it's my right to enjoy the summers lying on beaches, enjoying cool drinks and stuff, but nooooo, someone has decided this summer to be rainy and not enjoyable at all!!!

Illumina Drathiran'ar 07-14-2004 11:46 AM

I concur. We had warmer days in February than the colder days we've had in July around here. It really irritates me.

Dron_Cah 07-14-2004 11:55 AM

Heh, I'm not having any of these problems :D Course, it sux when i have to work in the factory with no ac. Ah well, cant have it all, i guess.

Now you know what it's like in England EVERY summer

Link 07-14-2004 12:00 PM

Nah, you're exaggerating, Uncle V I know it's been better than this, because my parents and my little brother went to England two years ago and had a good time. It's just that this shitty weather gets the best of me... All I can do is sit behind my computer and play games and post on IW

I'll trade you two days of sunshine per week for two days of rain. Our garden started turning brown in April and just keeps getting worse =(

johnny 07-14-2004 01:25 PM

To be honest, i like it much better than last year. I like a little sun, but last year was insane. You couldn't even breathe normally and at night you drifted out of your bed.

JrKASperov 07-14-2004 01:38 PM

I still drift out of my bed.

Hmm, maybe I'm just a sweaty pig :D

Link 07-14-2004 02:55 PM

I drift out of my bed as well, but that's because I've been too lazy to remove the winter sheets yet :D

Nevertheless, today was crappy, and I agree with last summer johnny, but you gotta admit this kinda weather sucks bigtime. Have you moved already, by the way?

Matter of fact, the whole place got carpeted today, so the next few days i'm gonna be busy moving my stuff over, and saturday we'll have a little truck to move the furniture and other heavy stuff. After this weekend i'll be finally settled. Tomorrow i have to pick up a new bed in Den Bosch, it was a gift, so i don't mind traveling this time. :D

Accustomed to your new quiet and crime-free neighbourhood yet?

It's going to be a bad season for fires this year in BC. We've already used up most of our budget and fire season hasn't even hit yet. :(

Spring was really hot for us here, and now summer is down the drain. Too much rain for me...

That was from a storm a couple days ago. Looked like winter from the hail. This summer sucks.... :(

Vaskez 07-14-2004 07:33 PM

Johnny just make sure you don't do what a family did that I saw on the news. They moved house and hired a big truck to move their furniture. They left it parked outside overnight with all their stuff in and it got nicked... ouch! :D A bit dumb if you ask me...

johnny 07-14-2004 08:40 PM

LOL, no, we're bringing it inside right away. A few friends are coming over to help carrying, so it shouldn'take too long.

Lauren 07-14-2004 09:09 PM

At the moment I am in Winter... I love winter, so nice and cool. It gets way too hot here in the summer.
But that's a shame that summer isn't going to plan for you Link.
I know why don't you make a beach in your own house, fill your lounge up with sand, get a special CD with beach noises on it... put the heater on and get change in your beach clothes... then voila! your own little beach :D

Stormymystic 07-14-2004 09:48 PM

here it is too hot to spend more than an hour outside before you feel your skin falling off from cooking :( and it is still only july, we have to make it through August, whish gets hotter than this

We've been doing pretty good for the last few years...2 years ago was a balanced summer: some rain, more sunshine. Last year was "hell": very hot, no rain, winter came too fast(skipped the autumn rains) and alot of plantlife dried up and died. This year weve had like 4-5 rainy days per week, and the rest sunny, or cloudy atleast. It irks me a bit to not able to spend some beachtime, but we really needed the water(the ground water(or whatever) was at an all time low...we had to drill the wells alot deeper and make tons of new ones aswell...). Just hope there wont be anymore extreme summers in the next 20 years :D :D
