I'm not a dog person, but I have been watching Cruft's Dog Show on TV over the past few days, and today was Best in Show day. Some wonderful dogs. My favourite was a suberb little Basenji called Sid. All the commentators thought either the Pekingese or the Gundog would win, and they know more than me so I thought the Basenji didn't have a chance.
When he was chosen, I actually clapped so much I hurt my hands! (I NEVER clap anything on tv normally!)

I haven't had a chance to watch any of it, but I know that Besenji's are really great dogs. I've been debating about getting one myself for the last couple of years, but I think I have enough pets right now to keep my occupied.

It's soooo funny!

And yeah Basenji's are real cool. Their non-bark-yelp thing or whatever it is that they got going on sure is weird sounding. My dad years ago tried real hard to find Basenji puppies but could not. Ended up getting a black lab instead, and i'm glad cause she was my bestest friend for years and years. sob sob, still miss her... sob sob.

My new bestest friend is a cat! And his name is Sid too. Awwwww...
