Bee homes and baths

We all hear about how the bees are disappearing so I decided to do something about it. Well honestly this is more of a little project I decided to do with my son and it will probably help the garden as well as benefit the bees. But it should be fun as well.

I think we will commence project Bee with the Mini bee high-rise.

Then we will create a Bumblebee nest and a bee bath. The bath should be beneficial to other critters as well like the huge population of ladybugs we get in the yard.

There is no reason we can't do a little bit for SD and help the environment and have fun doing it. I thought these bee houses were a neat idea that may interest those of us who have gardens and I think my 4 year old will have fun helping me build them. We may not see the results until the following year.
