The main page here at Ironworks has a portraits section. You could also try fileplanet.com, they have a lot of them. Last I knew there was a link to a very extensive collection of portraits at Mithril Hall: http://www.xsorbit.com/users2/Whisper/index.cgi. Ogres and orcs are tough to find. There are a couple half-orcs at this site: http://gknights.org/dnd.

I'm sorry I am new here. I can't find the link to the main page here at ironworks. Does anyone know where it is?

Welcome to IW! In the upper lefthand corner or at the bottom of the current page click where it says "Ironworks Website", that will take you to the main or home page. But anyway, here are the links to the BG1 and BG2 portraits. :)

Like, oh my god! Look at the hair on those women! That's so cheesy! Those styles are like, totally bad rocker feather-fros from the '80s. ; )

like, I'm so sure!

Sorry to point this out, but this thread is getting more and more off-topic.....what zepher was asking about was ANIMATED GIFs from Baldur's Gate. Which, come to think of it, would interest me, too. I've only seen GIFs of an Xvart and a Tasloi, that's it. God knows the ones from Diablo are easy enough to find....

On a related note, it actually IS possible to play as an Ogre in BG1. The downside is you suffer a huge penalty to your Charisma and Intelligence, and you're not allowed to do any quests until you've seen Lord Faarquod about your swamp.

As far as fantasy art goes, I just get so SICK of those cliche shots of a bunch of warriors looking cool, clad in their chainmail (except that all the girls have to have their legs and tits hanging out), totally unaware of the huge, ominous, DRAGON looming up behind them. Or the typical Boris Vallejo type, of a sorceress whose magical abilities seem to require having huge boobs and being half naked at all times. That's why I really liked THIS ONE, as a refreshing change of pace:

The middle one in the bottom row. I especially like the hoard of treasure.

I assumed zepher's ultimate goal was to create creature portraits with a program like photoshop and if he could find some already made that might do just as well. Thanks for bringing it back, Six. Try this link:
