Im playing a second time with just one character ...a zenmaster, I cant get the key to the shrne of kerah off kol he wont give it to me, i wonder is this because i already ama a zenmaster (so should not be allowed to get one of the books of zen).
Incidentally its very interesting playing the game with 1 character, on hard diff lvl nearly everything i kill gives +1000 exp. But i have a LOT of skills to learn.

FanPyre, Kol's key doesn't open up the place where the Tome of Fire is...that's the Serpent Master's key (down in the lift maze).

Did you specifically ask Kol about the "Key"? He should give it to you then.

For some reason that never came up in the list of conversation topics I asked everything that was avilable. And btw i know that kols key DOES open up the kerah place because in my last game i opened it up long before i had collected all the monkey statues and met the serp master. The serp masters key opens up a separate treasure place i remember.

You're correct in saying that the Heretic's Key that Kol gives you unlocks the area where the statue of Kerah is, but Sazerac is yet more correct in that the Tome of Fire is not anywhere near Kerah's statue, but back in the maze after you kill the naga. You will need the skull key off the Serpent Master to open that area.

To go along with the other 2, I would have to say I never saw the Fire Tome anywhere near the Statue of Kerah (otherwise, I would have it http://www.tgeweb.com/ironworks/cgi-...iles/smile.gif).
