It inspired me to search for more LOTR artwork. That led to the discovery of this site - Lord of the Rings Artwork

There are several good pictures on this site by all three artists, but my two favorites are the pictures of Gandalf and the Balrog. The first one is by Ted Nasmith and the second is by John Howe.

Both are absolutely breathtaking.</font>

Looking at stars of course. No, they're not bent. The rekindling of the stars is the event which triggers the awakening of the elves and the lake, Cuivienen, is the place where they awoke.

So you mean that's where the elves started? I haven't read the silmarillion so I have no idea about it. I'm still searching for the book in local stores

Yep, that's from Chapter 3, "The Awakening of the Elves and the Binding of Melkor." From the Sil, of course.
