I have:
1/Paladin
2/Cleric dualed to Mage
3/Thief dualed to Mage
4/Sorcerer
5/Fighter dualed to Druid
6/...spare

bare in mind that I am mage heavy and the 2 tanks are the first two.
I need someone who can use a 2hswd

Rikard 06-05-2001 01:17 PM

Why do you want two tanks?
anyway i'd say give the 2h sword to the paladin and take a ranger dual wielding 2 long swords

My paladin has the HOLY AVENGER
I really wanna someone on the Soul Reaver.

Think Celestial fury and Daystar dualwielded are better then a soul reaver
But i would say take a Barbarian

Thanks...that's what I ve got him down as but are they any good aginst high level monsters like the demogorgan...surely fighter mages are better.
Cleric/Mage has this ability!
Spell sequence level 6 cleric spells!!!!

Hm Maybe i play very diffrently then you
but this is (was) my party

Fighter dualled to Mage
Fighter Dualled to Assassin (way cool)
Cleric
Necromancer
Inquisitor
Sorcerer

I only got one tank but remember that you can turn any fighter/thief or fighter/cleric in a tank with the right equipment

Of course you do!! Most (if not all) of your parties are magic intense!! http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif

Wow, I find it amazing how magic dependant everyone seems to be. I feel really weird when i have a 3 fighter minimum to all my parties. I figure if you can't bash it to death, then its not worth bothering with :-P

Hmm... My party was:
Fighter
Ranger (Minsc)
Inquisitor (Keldorn)
Mage (Edwin)
Cleric (Viconia)
Thief (Jan)

I also tried out a Barbarian, a Druid, and a Monk, both of which are great. I'd suggest either a Fighter, Monk, or Barbarian. Actually, the last is probably the best, since the Barbarian gets, what is it, 1% physical resist per level, so he'd be taking 20-40% less damage throughout ToB. Your choice, though.

I just have to ask...is BG2 still pretty fun if you create all 6 characters instead of getting NPCs? I mean if you don't have at least one spare slot for an NPC then you are missing out on a ton of quests.

Can u create your own extra characters instead of using npc's? if so how?

Transfer the saved game from single player save to multi-player save and then create a new character.

My suggestion is to use that 6th slot to pick up NPC characters, this way you can do their quests in the game also. You'll get extra experience for doing NPC quests, you'll pick up items you can't get unless you do the NPC quests (extra ring of wizardry), etc.

SO I would keep your 5 characters, then you can put a NPC as the 6th character. You can always put in your own 6th character at anytime, such as if you get into a quest where you only have your 5.

How did you get through the game with such differently aligned you have lawful good characters and chaotic evil characters in the same party. Don't you get annoyed with them fighting? Have any left?
