hi guys, just having some trouble...when i try to set traps i get "set snare failed" i could understand theres a failure rate but its allmost impossible to set them! i set like 1 out of 200 attempts or so, is there some type of knack to this? thanks for ur help

Welcome to Escape forums. The reason your trap setting is failing is because your thief doesn't have enough points in trap setting. Add more at level ups until you have at least about seventy five points and you will find that they work alot more often.

On the level up screen where you choose to put points into thieving abilities, drag the sidebar down to get to set traps. When I first started, I never knew you could do this and never put points into the lower abilities.

By any chance are you trying to do it with Imoen (Arrrgghhh, what is the other meaning of that? :D ;) )? If you are setting traps with Imoen, then it is likely it will fail. She has a very low set traps skill.

AND you can't improve her set traps skill, because she is a Dual Class. Since I don't know how much you know about CRPG's I'll spare the long and boring description! ;)
