I was at a website called The Item Mart (made by one of the members here, sorry, don't remember who!) and it mentioned a short sword called...

Short Sword of Backstabbing: 'The Shadow's Blade'

I read the description, and this would be the perfect weapon to add to the massive collection that my thief has gotten already! Does anybody know where to find it???

IIRC it is given to you buy whats-his-name on the 2nd level of the Thieve's Guild after the Mae'Var quest. I think there may be another location though. [img]smile.gif[/img]

Renal Bloodscalp gives it to you as part of your reward for Mae'var's quest, but only if you refuse or are not eligible to take over Mae'var's guild. Makes sense, huh?! [img]smile.gif[/img]

IIRC, one of Drizzt's companions also has one, but I could be wrong here.

there's a much better short sword available for sale right outside Watcher's Keep. It's called the Short Sword of Mask.

no, i'm afraid i don't have ToB. but if i'm lucky, maybe i'll get it for christmas!!! that's the great thing about winter, you get so many presents!!! ;)

no-one in drizztes party has the sword. catti-brie is whom i think you mean desuma, and she has a Long Sword+2 "Varscona".(From baldurs gate one, if you remember. the best one handed weapon in the game i believe.)

only the best next to the deadly scimitars of the infamous.....Drizzt Do'Urden ;) (icingdeath, the frost band +3 and its companion twinkle, a defender +5)

(...Not to be confused with the infamous Killsword masquerading under the name "Long Sword +2 'Varscona'", as listed in ShadowKeeper - the ultimate cheat weapon! Supposedly Renal Bloodscalp's attendant wields this, which is why you always get wasted when you try to attack Renal...)
