Hi, just wondering if there are others out there using the Mac version of BGII that know of web sites with mods that work for the Mac?

I know about Balduran's Adventurer's Spa and Grill at http://ire.mainecoon.net/

Are there any other? I also know that simple things like bonus merchants that only require files in the override folder are the same for Mac and PC, but other things like Weimer's Ease of Use or Tactics sets are not.

Good luck with the Bonus Merchants. I have yet to get them to work.

Most Baldur's Gate stuff is crammed in to an exe file, so, most of them won't work.

Depending on how your Mac is configured, if you download a file for BG, it might show up as a simpletext file. You are going to have to strip the resource and give it a new file type and data tag in a res program if you want any sort of chance to get it to work. Of course, this might work just fine if you have OSX.

I do have OSX, and I've had no problems with some of the smaller downloads. I have avoided any .exe downloads like the plague though. Stuff like portraits that come in .zip files have worked out okay.

I've even got a couple of mods (like the toughest random monster spawns) by having someone with a cd run the installer, and then copying the override files necessary for the component I want over to the Mac
