What is the name of the leader of the Shadow Theives? And also is there someone called Arkanis Gend or something?

arkanis gath is that demi - god shadow thief that mysteriously appears when you attack for instance renal bloodscalp , or aran linvail when hes not hostile ie you sided with him.or any other unhostile shadow thief in their stronghold.
arkanis then shows up n kills your whole team with 1 blow.

arkanis will also showup when you side with bohdi and do her firdt task , hes pathetic then tho, my korgan killed him with like 5 blows , while bfore that he was unkillable

bodhi's alot easier when you side with the shadow theives...otherwise she kills everyone, saveless, 1 spell.

Yes, Aran Linvail is the real leader, and bloodscalp is his right hand man.
From what I've gathered (from this forum) arkanis shows up when you attack bloodscalp or linvail. He uses this ridiculous sword called killsword and (I'm paraphrasing someone elses explanation cause i dont know where the other thread with the info is and I'm to lazy to get it [I think its called aran linvail and FREAKS?!?!]) it makes him almost impossible to kill, not that ou get a chance because his killsword does several thousand damamge each hit and does this in all different elemental types, magic, and physical, and even a thousand in miscellaneous. And I've even heard if you do kill him (utilizing time stop would prolly do the trick) he just respawns. But according to someone, most likely dundee ;) , you can attack bloodscalp or linvail freely as long as you feeblemind everyone who migh see, or else they give good old Gathie a shout. Though I haven't gotten this far with my current char to check this out, word on the street is that Bloodscalp gives out some SA-WEET boots of speed (by gives out i mean "makes available through corpse-looting").

Anyone more informed, feel free to refnie my ridiculously vague info on Gath, Bloodscalp, and Linvail.

this is the thread you are revering to decurion, and indeed arkanis gath can be killed with the combination of Time-Stop and Shapechange ---> Mind Flyer (Intel. drain), but it is al described in that thread so.

That Bodhi-kills-with-one-spell and Arkanis-Gath-killing-machine are just the game's safeguards which make sure plot goes on as it should. If you slay both Bodhi and Aran in Chapter 2, it would be a bit different to get to Imoen.
