Ok after installing Tactics mod, Ascension and Valen on top of the offical patches and Baldurash fixes I notcied that Mordekainen swords is way more weaker then they were before adding the Tactics & Ascension mod. Their duration is cut of considerably and so is their hitpoins. I was shocked when I today summoned a Mordekainen sword In the planar prison with my solo sorcerer. I was fighting a Thrall Mage that was stunned. She was protected by spellturning so I summoned in a Mordekainen sword to take her out. She was protected by stoneskin so the sword dint hit her once. Then when the stun was over this happened:

I was like....Carrion summons are far more useful...I summoned them the moment later and they ate her for breakfast. I tryed to find some documentation on Mordekainen swords in the tactics readme but to no avail.

Does anyone have a clue about whats going on?

There is no bug, simply a better AI on the Mages' part. MSwords are vulnerable to Magic Damage and had always had low HP even in the default game. You just never noticed it before because MSwords had a lot of immunities, and most enemies were stupid( for lack of a better word) not to use the proper spells against them.

I see. So thats why they suck so much now [img]smile.gif[/img] The enemy now knows how to kill them. I noticed that mages are way much harder in the tactics MOD. I fell in love with the Carrion summons though. They got magic resistance, they stun you then eat you [img]smile.gif[/img] Probably worthless after a while, but good trough chapter two and 3 [img]smile.gif[/img]
Thanks for clearing that up as I was quite in shock when my favourite summon died to a magic missile...

Tip when soloing a spellcaster. ;)
