What does the Ranger Cabin do? does it have any function? or is it just a little safehaven away from the eeeeeevils of the realm?

Every now and then an event will happen in Imnesvale, usually requiring your aid.

Ooooh! Ta very much!..obviously i ain't got that far yet, i assume some chap will come fetch you like all the other times..

1. The cabin is the ranger stronghold. It will be given to you conditionally when you will do the ranger strongold quests. It will be given to you permanently when you finish all the quests.
2. The quests. The questgiver is either the mayor or someone waiting near the cabin.
3. Beware! The ranger cabin map changes when it is given to you! Do not store items in the cabin if you are about to take the ranger stronghold quest! You can store your items there after the cabin is given to you. The cabin will not change again.

Good thing they changed the insides of that cabin. It's hard to progress a romance while sharing a bed with the decaying corpse of the previous ranger inhabitant. :D

And now for my real question. Does the ranger cabin make any money for the party? I know that some of the other strongholds do.

No salary. As a force of good, you strive to aid the folks of Umar Hills for no other reward other than to bask in their praises. [img]tongue.gif[/img]

You do get an item in the end, but that is it.

A very powerful item I might add, one I am very fond of my self.

I wont mention any spoilers, but, long time PnP players will know value of the gift and what it means. Very few Rangers prove worthy enough to be offered this gift [img]smile.gif[/img]

I've always wondered who that person actually is, because the previous ranger (Merella) was possessed by the shade lord. Any ideas?

Another victim of the Skin Dancer?? Merella's lover when he cheated on her with Mazzy?? Or maybe... maybe it's Jon Irenicus in disguise! Yes! He's following your every move! ;)

I'm pretty sure it was Mazzy's comrade, who was catching up with her. Mazzy left a note for him in the cabin about their whereabouts, but he got mauled on the bed whilst taking a nap. :D
