The Anglachel
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sword, made of Meteored Iron, which Thingol got from Eol and which he gave to Beleg, when it was reforged for Turin they renamed it in Gurthang. Don`t know anymore your turn |
Easy, grap your copy of the Silmarilion (I pressume you already have it in your possesion) and start reading things about the Nargothrond; about its destruction and its leader Turin, about the battle vs Glaurung, its litteraly filled with information you can use ;) to come up with a fitting description for Anglachel (its not The Anglachel, its Anglachel)
Its final creation and after the forging it became know as Mormegil (also the name Turin went in the battle for Nargothrond. |
Tolkien-spilers
* * * * Another pretty vital part is that it ended the life of both Glaurung the Dragon and Turin himself, but as it did that after it was reforged, I don't know if you want it included or not. If you want it completely after how it was in the book(s), I can make the attempt, if you want. But do you want only before it was reforged, or after as well? And also, if you want it right after the books, you're gonna have to help me explain how it came from Middle-Earth to Faerun. ;) |

Yes okay, but it indeed means The Black Blade:
''Name that was given to Turin as he was the leader of the army of Nargothrond'' *ya nitpick!* It has been a long longgg time... when I last opened up the Silmarilion so my quoting kills are rather lack precision... Need to dig it up obviously. [ 04-22-2003, 03:31 PM: Message edited by: Annatar ] |
Plane shifting, its pretty rare in Fearun but maybe Turin himself was shifted to a other plane in the fierce battle for Nargothrond... (compleetly altering Tolkiens work is needed though :D )
That Glaurung did this because Turin was to strong for him.. he shifted him to a lesser plane to continue is existence without his beloved homeland/plane |
I'm working on it right now, but I warn you, this one will be *long*. The tales about Turin are many and long, and even though I've cut many things out, it will still be enough to compete against the improved CFury-history in length.
