I started a pally with a small group maximum 4 in mind. I have a pretty well rounded group, aerie, Yoshimo, cernd and my pally. The main reason i am attempting to keep a smaller group is so that i can level my characters more. But I have noticed that the monsters are toned down more.. IE there were no umberhulks in nalia's keep. I think there were some snake guys instead. Same way with the planer sphere. Is this normal? Any insight from those more experienced than me at this would be appriciated.

The monsters you encounter are based on your characters's level.

<span style="color: lightblue">Nalia's keep should *always* have Umberhulks. It usually has Yuan-Ti aswell (they're the snake guys), but not in the room straight before Tor'Gal. From memory there are some of them, or perhaps some trolls, in the room just before the Umberhulks, but the umberhulks are always there, regardless of level.

Also, higher level should mean harder monsters, meaning that they shouldn't be "toned down" any, unless you are of lower level than you have been doing these quests before.

Keep your group small, bcause that way you can always pick up other NPCs do their quest and kick them out again. That way you can get every singls XP point the game has in stock.

Except, of course, all the strongholds...

you'd need to cheat a little bit for that
but IIRC it was possible to get every stronghold in early versions by cheating your PC into the appropriate class at the right time.

...and setting the variable "PlayerHasStronghold" back to zero.

I've been thinking about this (not too hard, too much thinking hurts) and I decided the best way to get infinite experience was to...

Keep getting the question in the unseeing eye chasm wrong and it spawns a greater ghast/ghoul. 650 exp over and over, plus some nice random treasures, such as scrolls upto level 7.

Anybody care to suggest any more non-cheating infinite exp generators?

that would take a while to get lots of xp. Il think of some other ways
