Just a quick question. To get Aerie pregnant, do you choose to sleep w/ her in chapter 2, or say we shall wait? Have gotton different answers? Am in chapter 6 and having no luck. Am I missing something?

From what I've heard, don't sleep with Aerie. You are supposed to take it slow, and I think you finally can in Throne of Bhaal. I think I remember reading that she only offers to sleep with your main character because she thinks that is what you want, not what she wants.

Aerie can only get pregnant in ToB, but you can/should sleep with her in SoA anyway. The first time she offers to sleep with you, is because she thinks that that is what you want (as Lord said), so you have to refuse then, and tell her to wait until the time is right. The second time she offers to sleep with you, she says that she is ready, meaning that this is the right time to sleep with her. ;) </font>

1.) Aerie gets pregnant in ToB after you sleep with her in ToB.
2.) You can sleep with her in SoA but it is not advisable. It is possible to have a functioning romance AND having sex with her but only with ONE right dialogue option afterwards IIRC
3.) You can't divide romance into chapters like the plot as it depends on real-time (i.e. how long you have been sitting in front of your PC playing the game)

Ah, I never got Aerie to ask to sleep with my main character a second time in SoA. Just one time, and I said 'no.' So the romance conversations come along depending on how long you play the game?

The triggers for the lovetalks work in realtime, and are balanced so a player of average skill will finish the romance in roughly the same time as he would finish the game. More experienced players finish the game a lot quicker though, which is a problem.

Since they count in realtime, you can leave the game paused for an hour to let the timers catch up.
