I've got a fighter/mage multi class that is going to get 5 stars in daggers. I was wondering what are the best daggers to use. I downloaded a mod where i could buy a dagger that is +2 thaco, +2 slashing damage, +2 ac. So its pretty good. Is there any other good daggers i should try to find? I've got ToB if it matters, and item upgrade mod.

There are quite a few highly enchanted daggers. Just from SoA alone i have these:
</font>
  • Boneblade +4</font>
  • Dagger +4, life stealer</font>
  • Firetooth +3, throwing dagger</font>
  • Neb's Nasty Cutter, +2, poison, 2 hp per sec for 10 sec</font>
  • Pixie Prick +3</font>
  • Werebane+2, +4 vs. Lycanthropes</font>
  • Stiletto of Demarchess +2</font>

if you have ToB you might want to go for the
Dagger of the Star +4 (+5 if upgraded)
However I consider Daggers mainly thief weapons and equip my mages with staffs

Unless you're playing with the Ease-of-Use component: "Multiclass Grandmastery", your Fighter/Mage won't be able to assign more than two stars per proficiency-type (excluding Two Weapon Style).

Those two didn't make it into the game.

If you're not adverse to a little CLUAing, you can get the Lifestealer, and fight a very nasty battle for it too.

I'm using shadowkeeper to put my profiencies into daggers, so that will work wont it? I already made myself a fighter/tob wild mage. Anyway is there any good daggers in ToB? I am dual weilding btw.

OK...you've piqued my curiosity...lol

What is the code/method for what you've mentioned. I'm working my assassin through BG1 (with Baldur's Gate Trilogy) and am considering putting more proficience points in daggers, so this info might come in handy...

May I point you in this direction. Beware there are bound to be some spoilers in the thread.

Grab the item upgrade mod to create Quietus +4... very nice if you are at least part thief.

PARTS:
Bone Blade
Pixie Prick
4 Potions of Master Thievery
15,000 Gold

CREATES:
Quietus +4 (Dagger)
Increase backstab multiplier by 1. Target must save vs. poison at -2 or suffer blindness or sleep for 12 seconds.

I'm running a similarly themed fighter at the moment, but this character is a level drainer. As such, his proficiencies are going into daggers (lifestealer) and longswords (blackrazor)... though saying that, I may go for shortswords instead of longswords in order to get the sword of mask +5... time will tell.

To get the Lifestealer +4 dagger mentioned in previous posts (and it is worth it) you will need to CLUA:Console in a 'special' character. Do a search for Artemis on the forum and you should find the information you need.
