As your Berserker and Minsc are both Warriors, they're guaranteed to have a nice, low THAC0 with Axes, whether they actually have any proficiency points in Axe or not. Here's a tip: Undead are EASY. Once you get past that whole Level-Drain thing, the Undead Scourge that threatens Athkatla is truly a force to fall down laughing at. Any character who's even capable of picking Azuredge up off the ground can easily kill all the Undead in the city without even needing a potty break. Just give the Axe to Minsc or your PC and go to town. Your # of Attacks per Round will suffer, but it will still be quite sufficient.

Try going to the Main Game screen and selecting the weapon.....

Give it to Minsc, Axes suit him IMHO.
Unless your PC is a dwarf. Then the coice should be obvious.

For gameplaying I also would suggest Minsc as Azuredge can be used as a ranged weapon too and your Berserker is probably more suited for Melee than Minsc.

I tried giving the Azure edge to Minsc.
He was just standing there, holding a powerful weapon and not doing anything!
He didnt use it when he was close to the zombie nor did he use it when he was in throwable distance.....i dunno what to do...

maybe you have to customize yer minscs script to 'standard attack', so when he sees an enemy, he'll use it.

Do Minsc have any axe-proficencies (yet)?

Otherwise he'll only have 1 APR.

P.S. Don't worry about Azureedge's inefficiency at the start. It'll be GREAT once you meet Iron and Adamantium Golems.

Ah. You have encountered a somewhat annoying factor of Azuredge's, in that when each time the weapon is equipped, it automatically gets set to its "Ranged" capability. This means that your Berserker will try to THROW the axe, even if the target is only 2 feet away--and this limits you to only 1 attack per round. To put a weapon on its "Melee" setting, go to the Main Game screen, right-click on Azuredge, and then select "Melee." (with Azuredge, it's the icon on the right.)

And what self-respecting Dwarven Berserker goes around without ANY proficiencies in Axe? Huh???
