My current party has five members: PC cleric, Kelsey, Jan, Nalia, and will have Imoen once we go pick her up. I don't know who to take for #6. I was thinking about Haer'Dalis, or maybe even Keldorn, but I want characters that will play well off Kelsey.
I thought of CN Anomen. I can't bear the thought of him staying in the CC. (The punk didn't even help me kill the slavers! So much for KotRH training...) I'm just thinking about how ethical it would be to turn LN Anomen into CN Anomen. If Anomen's been training his entire life for service in KotRH, what would make him snub that service? The wishes of his father? Wasn't Cor the one who DIDN'T support him through his training? Wasn't Cor the one who showed up drunk to his squireship-thingy and insulted the ONE guy who stood by him through all this? There needs to be something else to push him over the edge. And I'm thinking that a snub from the PC after some pro-KotRH flirting might do it. Can I flirt simultaneously with Kelsey and Anomen? I'm thinking that the PC has to make her choice before Anomen gets tested. |
dunno about flirting simultaneoulsy with bot h of them but I could maybe help you with the other bit.
POSSIBLE SPOILER!!! * * * * * * * * * ** * Anomen loved his sister very much and her death, supposedly at the hands of that guy whose name escapes me right now, could push him over the edge into vengence. now he is obviously going to have conflicts with what he believes and what he wants but I think there are some dialogue options that'll allow you to coax him to revenge without making it seem so evil |
Anomen's motivation to join the order is pride and a urge for himself to be a glorious warrior. Passing his test and understanding the ways of the order is what will make him grow in wisdom and character.
However it is possible that his temper (especially after losing his sister who is the only person he still holds onto in his life) pushes him over the edge thus getting rejected by the order and NOT growing up. Unlike Mazzy who wants to be a Paladin for the good of the world he wants to be a knight of the order for his own good. Hence his neutral alignment opposed to her good alignment. Summing up: LN: self-centered Anomen obeying the law to achieve glory in the Order grows up to LG: Anomen having learned the ways and the purpose of the law and the order or fails to do so and becomes CN: Anomen who doesn't care about the law anymore as his career in the Order is not an issue anymore. |
Faceman, the way you explained it cleared everything up. (Nearly forgot about Moira there!)
But another question. If Anomen's so fired up about joining the Order for personal glory, why does he leave Moira behind? *deletes half the post* The answer came to me. Anomen wants his sister to be happy. If dealing with a drunken, spiteful man makes her happy, so be it. So why does this make her happy? Familial duty? Trying to make Anomen notice her and/or care about her? Still trying to decide which is the greatest reason why Anomen would kill Saerk. Justice? Duty to family/father/sister? Trying to score brownie points with the PC? |
