This has probably been tried before, but I thought I'd ask anyway. If you were to play a multiplayer game with a party completely made by yourself, could you not change your party leader and gain different strongholds? Just wondering.

Only the first created character is the Bhaalspawn, and only the Bhaalspawn PC can get stronghold.

Dron_Cah 06-21-2003 06:43 PM

Darn!! I wanted to get two without cheating, and especially without cheating or mods.

Hmm...I just thought of something, though I've never tried it...

What if you get a stronghold, say the De'Arnise Hold, then dual over to another class? Could you then get a second stronghold, say the Planar Sphere?

I think I sound pretty stupid asking this, but where is the Planar Sphere? I suppose I should have done more side quests my first time around to find more things.

1.) Getting more than one Stronghold is always cheating even if you use a dual or multi class character which makes it possible in unpatched versions to obtain one stronghold AND the keep (if you do the other first) IIRC.

2.) The Planar sphere is the big thingy in the upper left corner of the slums district. The connected quest you will stumble upon talking to a certain Cowled Wizard or carefully exploring Imnesvale.

True...I suppose as far as the game is concerned it is cheating. But, in reality, can it really be construed as such? I mean, if I go through all the hard work of clearing out the Temple of Amaunator, or the Windspear Dungeon, or the Planar Sphere, shouldn't I be able to have some sort of control over them? All those freeloaders out there hoping that some adventurer will do their dirty work, and then it's See Ya!

;)

Sagramore 06-21-2003 09:29 PM

Yeah but...would you really want a smelly old dragon's cave or a sphere that can travel through the planes? hm...i guess i see your point...

Dar'tanian 06-21-2003 10:24 PM

What about multi classes like fighter mage cant you get Darnise and Planar sphere???

Grammar 06-21-2003 11:18 PM

You can by abusing the game, but you're not supposed to be able to.
