I just installed the item upgrade mod, and am having lots of fun (and spending my hard earned gp) making new things. I wanted to do something with my sad little buckler, and I have the symbol of Amuantor, but I have no idea where I'm supposed to get five sunstone gems. Do I have to cheat them into the game, or is there some other way to get them?

if you complete the unseeing eye quest you should get 3 sunstone gems from the amaunator avatar as well as the normal reward.
1 sunstone gem is in mae'vars guild on a table in the room were you can go downstairs to mae'var.
sunstone gems are common random drop on goblins or orks.
damn i forgot another sure-location ... but you should be able to get 5.

Yeah--Sunstone Gems are so common that you can usually find 5 before starting Chapter 2. And if you need them later on in the game, just wander around Athkala and track down the people you sold 'em to.

Fire Agate gems, on the other hand, are much trickier, at least in ToB. I'd found plenty in SoA, but I didn't know I would need any until ToB. The guy didn't say how many he needed, so I checked the README and saw that I needed three......well, I found one, in all of ToB.
