Xvim, or Iyachtu Xvim, is actually a demigod known as the Godson of Bane. He was used by the Black Tyrant to carry his seed just before the Time of Troubles, and proved to be the means for Bane to return to Faerun. (A bit like a Bhaalspawn, actually.) ;)
