* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * About 5 days later Delon comes to you and asks you to return. It seems that the Umar Witch has returned. Go talk to Minister Lloid again. Now go to the Temple Ruins again. Before you enter the ruins, Mairyn appears and asks the same thing. Enter. There are many undead in here, as well as a Glabrezu (demon). You will find Umar at the Crystal ). Talk to her, but be ready for a fight. Turns out she is just some minor mageling. Kill her and return to the surface. Mairyn will then reward you with a Moon Dog figurine, Reputation +1 and 26,750 exp. If you were a Fallen Ranger this will also restore your Rangerhood. Minister Lloid offers no reward this time. |

Do as Xen said, but I think that goes for any of the ranger quests that Delon comes to get you for. |
err.... i still got my stronghold even tho i gave them the items.... maybe its because i gave them the items BEFORE i talked to the mayor about taking on the quest.... aniwayz.... i went to the umar cave and they were there running away from the gibberling.... (this is before i went to temple ruins) i completed the temple ruins quest and i came back to the Umar Hills. Some people yelled at me for giving them the items.... but when i talked to them again they jez forgot about it... does this mean the boys are lost forever? or what? is this a bug?

This is what's supposed to happen. The beer and swords are considered bad things to do, and by saving the little brats, you've done something good to cancel it out.
*channels Gene Wilder* They're hardy people, salt-of-the-earth. You know, morons. |
From a roleplayer's point of view, my Paladin just went through the Umar Hills a couple of days ago, and was all too happy to buy the boys some swords. They're certainly old enough ("I'll buy you swords....but no ale. You've barely fuzz on your chins"), and their village is under the shadow of some ill-defined ominous threat. The only people who wouldn't want to support their town with a few more defenders are some extremely overprotective parents, if you ask me. These kids should have had adequate weapons training years ago.
