Well first off hello, i am new to this board :D but i am having somewhat of a problem with a quest reward in chapter seven..00

after the nymph cloack room in the Abyss, an evil outcome grants +2 to your constitution whereas a good one grants a permanent immunity to +1 or better weapons..no matter what i do, good or evil, i get the constitution bonus. note that i do not have the patch yet, although it mentions nowhere in the patch description that this is fixed. (i know where to get it though) if i take the nymph cloak or not, i get the +2 CON, but this doesnt help seing how im a priest of talos with 16 CON, and already have achieved my max HP bonus per level, so this does nothing for me. any way that i can get around this? thanks alot... (btw how did i do on my first post lol, long i know but i also didnt know if a spoiler was really required or not?)

Yes, spoiler tags are essential when revealing plot details, item locations... ect.. see the forum FAQ for details.

I dont know how to fix your problem, but like you said, +2 to con isn't going to do anything for you if you already have 16. Hopefully you can find someone who can help you. All i can suggest is that you fully patch your game... links to the patches can be found in the forum FAQ.

Never had the problem myself. Perhaps it is because you are evil? (Talos a dead giveaway) Try patching it is all I can reccomend. You obviously know what you should get, were they with good PCs? Good First post, Spoiler spot on. Oh and welcome to ironworks [img]graemlins/thewave.gif[/img]

Hey thanks for the hello guys lol.. i just wish i could get around this problem! it was this wonderful website which gave me the info about the quest, and the bi-polar outcomes and such.. this is my first time around the game. the only way i guess i could find out was if somebody else with an EVIL aligned party were to finish the quest, and had recieved that bonus. but then again that wouldnt really help me lol, because ive tried everything. well tell me how it went for you guys! any good rewards?? however i am still concerned about this quest! can anybody tell me if the bonuses recieved before the final fight in chapter 7 are PERMANENT? do they carry on into TOB? i havent been playing for a few days because i want to get around this problem.

Yes they are permanent and they carry on to ToB.

A bigger issue would be your inevitable change in alignment. Perchance have you heard of the Baldurdash Fixpack?

no, i havent lol. what is the baldurdash fixpack? something that changes my alignment? because my alignment doesnt change to good when i do it the good way, im still evil now. i guess i can just get the 2 to CON and screw my char, it doesnt seem like there is any way around it :(

I dont see your problem tho, patch the game and thats it. +2 Con might not help out with HP's but with carry weight, tho its useless.
