I've noticed that some peopleplay with dual parties; one for when they're having a good day, and one for when they're having a bad day.
I'm kinda doing this: I have a realatively good party led by a Paladin, with some old umm... female friends of mine. and a party leaning towards evil that has my girlfriend in it (just a coincidence... she's not evil or anything). and on days when we're arguing or something, I play with the paladin party, but on most days, I play with my thief party (since I've already gone through the game with my paladin). so, does anybody else use a few parties depending on how ther're feeling? and just out of curiousity, does anybody think it's wrong for me to still use a party with sonme old friends (they were never more than that) in it? |
I can't say I do. But I do find myself doing different quests at different emotional points. If I'm feeling dark and evil, I'll do some dungeon crawling, whereas if I'm feeling upbeat, I'll stick to the city, maybe head to Trademeet.
Of course, at last count I have 17 games progressing at one point or another, so I can't really switch between two parties. |
I am the same as True Moose, as I have about 10 parties right now. Which party i use does depend on my mood, though. Say I'm angry, like i lost a game in Madden, i will play my solo sorceror game and destroy everything. But if I'm feeling good, I'll play with one of my other games, mainly my dwarven kensai.

I just make new parties when I'm bored with my current one or some battle is being too annoying and hard to beat. I just recently reinstalled BG2 so I only have 5 parties.
