Hi everyone...relatively new to the game and brand new to the boards...


Anyway, I made a multi-player party, and my main player is an Assassin, so i am wanting to get the thiefs guild...anyway, Mae'Var gave me the quest to get the necklace, which i did, and went back to him. About 6 levels later, he STILL won't talk to me, i.e. 'Mae'Var looks busy and can't be interrupted' or whatever that thing says....I've quit, and reopened the game, rested, gone off to do other quests, yadda yadda yadda...and NOTHING works...I even killed him, but the Shadow Thief head guy told me i did no good and kicked me out...

Is there a way to "force" him to talk to me? is this a glitch? Can some one please tell me how to fix this?

I had the same problem once before, usually if you rest or try downloading the SoA game patch, then he'll start talking to you again.

Hmmmm... judging from previous incidents similar to this, I predict you have ToB installed. Furthermore, you did not install the ToB Official Patch. Tell me, newcomer, am I wrong? http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...ons/icon33.gif

Hit him once then he'll talk.... I actually did that once .... had this problem ALOOTT!!!! That worked for me 3/5 times.. other times i got killed/assainated....

and now i am a spirit :-D
