I just finished the Nalia Keep quest and was getting ready to head out again when someone came up and asked if I knew Anomen (I do as he is in my group), I can't initiate dialogue with the question asker, is this a bug or do you need to be a specific level?

It might help to know who it was that approached you. What was his/her name? I'm pretty sure it's a messenger that tells you to go to the Government Disctrict because Anomen's Father wants to see him.

Anomen's sister has been killed, and Anomen's father thinks he knows who it is. He wants you to assassinate the man that he thinks is responsible. The good path is persuading Anomen to not kill the man, and the evil path is to attempt to assassinate the man. IIRC, if you do not go to the government distrect, then Anomen complains, and I think he might eventually leave if you don't go after a few days.

Yup, you were correct, when I went back and tried it again he told me the story. First time though it was as if Anomen wasn't in my party.

Quick & easy fix in most situations like this: Reload. Most "Messenger" encounters occur right after returning to Athkatla (or exiting a large building in the city), so your Auto-Save should only be a few seconds away. Giving the computer a second chance is usually enough to solve a lot of minor bugs.

The bug is the extrmerally common "character x appears to be busy" bugg. The main patch fixes it it is mostly common on the WINDOWSXP software system.
