I need help, obviously. First thing, i already have cloak of cheese, and i know everybody loves chaotic commands and junk, but i don't have it yet. so, what do i do? i'm going into the lair of beholders in the underdark, and i can't just send 1 person in with the cloak. Help...(gurgling)

What is your party and their levels?


Well the Shield Of Balduran helps. [img]graemlins/doh.gif[/img] Are these Improved Beholders(Tactics Mod) or "standard"?

I don't think Beholders can see invisible characters-- Do you have a mage that can turn your party invisible?

I do not have the shield of Balduran, and i doubt i can get it in the uderdark. or can i? (shrugs shoulders)

Party:

Dron Cah: Monk lvl 14 (yay, i hit the magic level!)
Mazzy: Fighter lvl 13
Minsc: Ranger lvl 12
Imoen: Mage lvl 12, Thief lvl 7
Aerie: Cleric lvl 10, Mage lvl 11
Jaheira: Fighter lvl 10, Druid lvl 12

that's it, we are still relatively weak and low level, but i left a bunch of quests to do with Imoen.

No you can`t get it in the UD.

Equip Mazzy with Tuigan and have Imoen cast Improved Haste. Buff up with Aerie,send Jaheira in with Ironskins if she has them.

And why the hell not? Monk + Cloak of Cheese + normal Beholders = EXP.

And you do realize that nobody's twisting your arm and forcing you to even enter the lair in the first place?

I would recommend having Jaheira memorize a couple Pixie Dust spells (I know that Beholders can't see through this one!) if you need some mass invisibility, but if you're trying to get an item off a dead beholder, I'd recommend having the person with the cloak go in first and start attacking the thing, then bring in the rest so the beholder will be attacking only the protected person. By the way, I believe there is a chamber in the underdark with only 1 Elder Orb in it, so fight that one, it'll be less terrifying.

you don't understand, the game will not allow me to enter with only 1 person!!! if i could, i most definitely would! but i can't, therefore, what is tuigan!? sorry, just gotta rant!
