I wanna make a fighter thief and change the kit to assasain via shadowkeeper, any thoughts on how e.g thief point amounts i need to change, skills and such things etc any help appreciated. cheers

Been a long time.

Funnily enough I'm just playing through a game as a solo Fighter/Assassin - just to see what it was like.

I'm about to enter Suldanessellar as (IIRC) level 33/38 - the challenge has pretty much gone, but I'll struggle through that [img]smile.gif[/img]

In setting it up I created a new F/T - took 10pts per level off theiving skills, then using SK removed the Thief abilities to whatever level he was at, then added for the Assassin kit. I then just changed the kit to Assassin.

First comment is that the extra attacks (from high level fighter and weapon specialisation) really make this guy rock. He's dual-wielding Celestial Fury (the +5 version) and Usuno's Blade with 7/2 attacks. Actually makes Assassination worth having.

I'll also note that it's far too easy to get far too many HLAs (assuming TOB - if not then I suppose the challenge might remain slightly longer).

There are certain items that will be invaluable - especially if you've got the Item Upgrade mod installed - a certain suit of armour from a dreadlocked friend could be the best thing you ever get!

you should check the appendices at SixOfSpades' site for correct distribution of skills.
IIRC his thieving skills table tell you exactly what base skills your thief should have and if you just drop the thief points gained with level (25/lvl) to the assassin amount (15/lvl) it should work out fine.

or just roll everything back to zero, and set up as zero level assassin fighter multi...

that is if he's going multi and not dual (which is SOO much cooler IMHO)

thanks all, i've managed to set it up alright so that all the points are distributed properly and everything an its really fun to play, which is why I wanted to try it because none of my other characters have really excited me that much lately. Plus I think its quite justifiable RP wise, I mean you're the son of the god of murder thats gota count for something right?
