I can't beat them all at once, so I've been luring them out 1 or 2 at a time(if 3 come out I invariably lose a party member and reload). Will someone give me an idea of how long this stategy will take? The Spirit Trolls have great XP(12000) but are tough buggers!!

If you are on about the one in the druid grove I find going inside and keeping your group tight up against the right hand side and walking slowly anti clockwise does the trick. killing them one by one or in pairs. If you do get rushed near the end a couple of summons or skelatons will keep the minor ones at bay while you deal with the spirit trolls.

Hope this helps

If you lure them out and face them outside use Call Lightning. If you have a wand of fire you can also use several Agnazzar's Scorchers on the whole bunch.

Summons are your friends.

That said, what does your party consist of and what are the levels?

I would think hes pretty high a level, since he has spirit trolls...usually there are only regular and giant trolls. unless, of course, hes playing tactics...

And in tactics....are those spirit trolls worth 12.000 ..... :(

Oh... believe me, it's worth fighting Spirit Trolls even with Tactics. 12,000XP is not to be sniffed at, especially in the early game.

thats true enough. its not that much less than what you get from a dragon(ok, depends on the dragon, but its still abuut 1/5 to 1/6, plus there are pretty many of them.), and its more than anything you get in BG1...

I'm just trying to play the game, and these guys are too tough to go in and "cowboy" them. If what I'm doing is cheese because it milks them for XP, then that's just the way it happened. I would LOVE to be able to go in there and Kick Booty, get the treasure and get on with the game. I've spent way to long at the troll mound.
