I've started a new game with all six characters made by me. I've done the story line countless times and now i want to beat this game like a red headed step child. (No offense to the red headed step children out there.) Anyways I have began playing and realised i dont have the magical fire power I am used to playing with. My party consists of A Cavalier, Barbarian, Cleric/Ranger, Sorcerer, Archer, and Bounty Hunter. I want to dual the Bounty Hunter to a mage, but I've never really messed with theifs before and I want to know what level I should let the thief reach before dualing. I want it to be able to do tiefly things still. Thanks.
P.S. Any help with tips on the Barbarian would be helpful too, Im not used to playing with them either. |
I believe if you have ToB, the best time to dual your Bounty Hunter into a Mage would be 12 or 13..just make sure you have sufficient skills for find traps, pick locks, etc.
Barbarians are pretty straightforward..make sure they dont die and beef them up pre-buff's. Use their Beserk(or enrage, whichever they have) ability and watch them mop Kangaxx up like he was a puddle. :D |

As for Ye Olde Thief->Mage Dual, it's not at what level you are, it's what skills you have, and whether or not you're willing to use the cheesy Gloves of Master Thievery. If your Archer is a Ranger Archer, you won't need Stealth, so just grab the essentials (Locks, Traps, and maybe Detect Illusions for the heck of it) and start your Dual. Make sure you leave lots of "No-Thief-Needed" quests (like the Copper Coronet) untouched, so you can do them while your Bounty Hunter is inactive. |
