The shapeshifter might be the best class ive played in the game. The greater werewolf is fackin awesome.

Be careful what do you say. He is good but definitly NOT the best class in the game. They are far better classes.

 • Blade (Bard kit)</font>
 • Sorcerer </font>
 • F/M</font>
 • C/R</font>
 • Cavalier (Paladin kit)</font>
The list just goes on and on.

hahaha...well it depends how you spend your points in skills etc... still I agree with Xen that sorcerer is one of the best classes. Also kensai can be awesome:D

Xen 03-18-2004 03:26 PM

Well if not one of the best the Sorcerer certainly is *THE* most powerful class in the game.

Dayhawk 03-18-2004 07:46 PM

i would be careful too. while the shapeshifter is very powerful in the mid levels, it will get MUCH less powerful as time goes on and you need a better THAC0 than greater ww can give you to hit things. then you're just a druid with some restrictions.

Balintherlas 03-18-2004 08:04 PM

I agree wit the sorceror, but i dont think mages are good on their own. Im pretty fond of the cavalier as well, but when you can get a decent fighter in a shapeshifter so u can cast spells, then the power house greaterww, ur pretty unstopable. Also, wit the gww contistution, u can take enough punishment to still be awesome even wit their thaco. Question though, does a lady werewolf look different?

Only they can tell the difference.

As for the most powerful class/es, there have been several threads on the topic. My votes go towards the sorc and the cleric/mage, but that's just me.

This, again.

Use the search function and you will find many in-depth despcriptions pitting classes against each other. (although its generally agreed that Sorcerer is the most powerful at high level).

As for female werewolves, I suppose their like dwarves in Pratchett ;)

I have the Ease of Use mod, which makes the greater werewolf *extremely* powerful, unlike the buggy one that is in the ordinary game. I mean, -6 Base AC, 20% MR, 50% All Elemental Resistance, godly base THACO, 2D6 base damage, and the best part, regenerate 3 hit points per second, are all very-very good. This made making Cernd join your party be worth a while. :D

*BUT,* to my great surprise, my protagonist, a cool dual-katana Kensai with 18/16 Strength, 19 Dexterity, 16 Constitution, killed the freak with ease! This guy is a real killer, trust me on that!

I am now completely convinced that a dual-wielding Kensai is by far the most powerful fighter-class, if used well. He gains -1 THACO and +1 Damage every 3 levels and -1 speed factor every 4 levels, so at level 40, he has an extra -13 THACO and +13 Damage and -10 speed factor(!) ALONG with all the great proficiency bonuses and such that ordinary fighters recieve.

What the speed factor is for???
