i'm no pro but i think the best armor would be shadow dragon armor made from the scales of the shadow dragon. if not that then the second best is drizzts mithril chain +4. hope that helps.

For an extra char. you may need another wizard. if you want to be an agressive thief, then jan could add to your thieving but also be an extra wizard to help imoen. Nalia is also a good wizard but she is very similar to imoen. Edwin's evil nature may not be suitable for your party but haer'dalis may be an interesting option.

It depends on how you're going to play Valygar,; for me, the best armor for him in SoA is his own Corthala Family Armor. He can actually go thourgh ToB with that armor as well.

as for the sixth one, I'll suggest Aerie. She'll become more and more powerful as the game progress; she will provide the exta wizard firepower; and she'll be a sufficient cleric for your party.

Seeing as how you're an Assassin, you'll want to give the assassin Shadow Dragon Scale. The next best armor is indeed the Corthala family armor, when it comes to base SoA. If you had some problems with that, Aeger's Hide would be the next best thing, but it's got 10% less on the resistances, and its AC is higher.

Sixth member: Aerie or Anomen. You need a single class cleric. Depends on your style of play. Aerie will level slower, and is more fragile, but also wields more destructive power, if you know how to use her. Anomen will level up faster, and is a melee beast, but you've got lots of that already. My vote: Aerie.

well the reason that i was asking about the armor is because
i use him as my main tank with keldorn but he has a very low armor
class especially because i like to dual wield and without the shield
his armor class is like -4 which isnt to good because i am about to
take on suldanessar and im not sure if he will die very quickly... for my
sixth party member i have already used aerie and edwin, i dropped
aerie and edwin left my party in the asylum and i dropped haer'dalis
because he wasnt very strong as a melee character so i was thinking about picking back up minsc and giving him a bow or should i dual-class him

-4 is a good AC for Valygar; to me, his offense ability more than make up his not too good AC (I think I usually keep him at -2 throughout SoA).

as for your sixth member...you cannot dual class Minsc. If you just want another fighter (or strong melee character), Mazzy, imo, is better than Minsc as tank, and Anomen can provide cleric spells while being a decent fighter.
still, in "comlimenting" your party, I cannot think of a better NPC than Aerie.
