Ok, this is seriously starting to get on my nerves. I have all the patches installed as well as the darkest day. How can I get the game to stop crashing whenever I rest. I think it might have to do with the movies, does anyone know how to disable them?

Open up your baldur.ini file in the game directory. Scroll right to the bottom and you should see this:

[MOVIES]
BISLOGO=1
BWDRAGON=1
WOTC=1
INTRO=1
DEATHAND=1
RESTCAMP=1
RESTINN=1

Set restinn and restcamp to 0, save changes, and see if that does the trick.

shamrock, AFAIK, those tags only state which movies have been played--they don't actually <u>control</u> anything at all, except which movies can be played through the "Movies" tag in the BG Launcher.

Actually disabling the movies is much trickier, and unfortunately something that I can't help you with.
