i got a question about the first quest that Mae'var gives you, the one
about stealing the golden statue from the temple of Lathander, my question is eveyrytime i steal it it causes all of the priests to go hostile even the ones outside. will this mess up my game or can i just kill them, or is there a way to do this without making them go hostile.

Try doing it at night.

And try to hide in shadows or be invisible once you pick up the statue.

Only send in one person, and have an invisibility potion in the quickslots for guarenteed escape.

Add: I'm not sure, but if you go in at night I think there will be fewer preists around.

It's possible to steal the statue without turning all the Lathandar priests hostile. As krunchyfrogg said go at night and the two guards standing beside the safe will be gone. Then wait until the priest who hangs around has moved out of sight(he moves about). If your quick you should be able to steal the statue without anyone going hostile. [img]smile.gif[/img]

But isnt there always an alarm there? Will they not go hostile when you re-enter the building?

Always an alarm, but if they don't spot you then they won't go hostile. That's why you go at night.

If nobody sees you the alarm doesn't go off...

I'm going to assume Zarr isn't just guessing (a safe assumption I think); therefore, I stand corrected on the alarm issue.

Yea, the time of day shouldn't matter, just as long as no one sees you, you shouldn't get caught.
