Was he one of the ogres at the begining? If so when do I find out? Have I just been skipping through dialogue to fast? What's a cleric? Do you think I ask to many questions? Huh? Huh? Huh?

I believe Keldorn will make a comment if he is in your party.

Yeah If you take Keldorn with you when you vist the area with Firkraag, when you have seen and kill the Ogres, Keldorn says that he knew one of them and that it was Ajantis.

So the answer to "What became of Ajantis?" is YOU killed him.

I had Keldorn with me and he didn't say anything. Annoying really as I am doing my first BG1-TotSC-BG2-ToB play-through and I had Ajantis with me for most of BG1.
Let's have a moment of silence for Tiax, Ajantis, Faldorn, Txar, Montarian, DYnaheir, Khalid, Coran and, in case we forget, Xan's cousin... Out of curiosity, what happened to any of the other BG1 NPCs?

I once made a list of everyone in BG1 who made an appearance in BG2. I'll try and find it for you.

I always take him along when playing bg1.

Get TDD, most of the BG 1 npc's appear in it, I know you can get Korgan, Xan (I think), Xzar, Kivan, Yeslick and shar teel.

Xan is a wild mage in one of the soul trappers in the underdark.
