For some reaseon the PC doesn't react to haste spell or potion of speed in a new game I started. Reloading doesn't help. Has anyone experienced similar problems? (I suspect the UB mod has something to do with it, could be wrong though.)

What class is your PC?

Have you installed both the offical patch and the Baldurdash fixpack?

What mods do you have installed and what order are they installed in?

Is he under Free Action? If that is the case that's your problem.

I think you have equipped the Ring of Free Action [img]smile.gif[/img] It not only protects you from negative movement concerning spells (i.e. Hold) but also things like Haste ;)

It would be a good idea to download the Baldurdash fixpack. It would be alot of hassle to uninstall all those mods just to install the fixpack but I'm told alot of mods take the standard installation as not just SOA+TOB but the offical patch and baldurdash fixpack as well. You don't need the SOA patch if you have TOB installed just the offical TOB patch. If you download the Baldurdash fixpack make sure you remove the SOA offical patch.

Most of those mods seem to be WeiDU mods, aren't they? If any aren't make sure their installed after the patches but before the WeiDU mods. Icleus' mod list sticky should tell you if there is any mods installed that aren't compatible.

If it's a bug with UB, Icelus hopefully will know about it and be able to help.

No, I don't have the Ring of Free Action; The problem is there from the very start in Irenicus' dungeon.

I just tried the boots of speed, now the PC is hasted but the haste icon on the PC's portrait doesn't appear. Very weird.

Is for some reason your PC burdened? You can't haste a burdened character.

I'm going to install the fixpack and see if it solves the bug issues (had some other bugs in recent games but they were only temporary or were gone after a reload; example: when I wanted to equip my PC with off-hand weapon I got text "two handed weapon equiped while this wasn't the case / my PC and a NPC where under the effect of the spell horror; icon was on portrait, but they weren't running around in panic, circle arround them remained green)

What class do you have?

You cannot haste a Monk. They have natural movement rate increase. I think there's another class like that also, is it Barbarian or Berserker perhaps?
