Sup, so I've played BGII many times, but I do not recall entering that building, Saerk Farrahd Estate in the Bridge Dist. So, what's about it? Is it something like The Guarded Compound or what?

Brainless One 09-01-2004 09:14 PM

I have never entered that building either, but chances are it's another one of those buildings that only really has a point when you have a certain NPC in your party... unless you have played with all the NPC's before and seriously doubt thats what it is...

Brainless One is correct.

Not an Anomen fan, eh, Derfel?

Thrain 09-02-2004 06:39 AM

you can still do Anomen's quests and not go to that building.

The first time I played, my party went in the upstairs door "just out of curiosity" and ended up sacking the entire place (stupid guards just kept attacking us). Anyway, some nice treasure for a low-level party to acquire/sell.

Of course, if you have Anomen and choose a certain vengeful path you'll make your way to the estate for a different kind of bloodletting.

Hm I see.. thought it would be as much as fun as Guarded Compound but since it requires Anomen... looks like I won't get into that building anytime soon... thx fer the help.

Neomi 09-02-2004 02:09 PM

Well, it definitely isn't as fun or rewarding as the guarded compound, that's true. But although the quest that involves this building does require Anomen, you don't actually need him in your party to have a look around, just a thief who can pick the lock...

IronDragon 09-02-2004 05:32 PM

This location is also used in part of the Anomen romance.

Derfel Cadarn 09-02-2004 05:36 PM

Yeah, I know I can simply enter it, but from a Role Playing perspective I do not see why my Priest of Lathander, Chaotic Good, would like to see the inside of a private home without being invited... damn principles! hehe.

ack! we went into the estate on "business". i'm very glad we thot to save before anomen went wildman on us. because he needs anger management therapy so desperately, we went from Rep 18 to Rep 3 in less than 3 game minutes.

i've come to think that's not quite the way to impress the Order.
