OK so i've gotten all of the special items for Cromwell to combine but now i realize that i have too many tanks...

Me- Fighter (grandmastery in one handed Swords & Fighting) i'm basically ripping everyone apart with Lilarcor!!

Keldorn- Carmosyr +5 (need i say more!!) (it's also interesting that keldorn can use harps...why use bards?)

Jaheira- (sword & Sheild style)

Jan & Imoen ( ones more of a thief and the other is more of a mage.)

now for the 6th NPC i want someone to dual the Celestial Fury (awsome blade) & the crom Faeyr.

I'm now moving away from the Bruteforce approach to more Spells & Strategy.

I was thinking about Valygar (sneaky & spells).

any comments would be most welcome

So he's wielding Lilarcor (sp?) SINGLE handed?

IronDragon 09-15-2004 08:06 PM

Valygar.

He already has points in dual wielding and in katanas so your most of the way there with him.

Moon-Child_Lman 09-16-2004 07:01 AM

Yeah, rangers are awsome dual-wielders. Another possible character to use for dual-wielding would be Haer'Dalis (he has 2 points in dual-wielding). He can also pick-pocket, sing songs ;) , and cast mage spells.

Forscythe 09-16-2004 12:25 PM

Again Why use Bards at this point?....sure Haer'Dalis is a tiefling...i have a thing for wierd race combinations...Mutants rule!! but Keldorn can use harps (and a +5 Broadsword) , Lore is no longer a problem for my Band of righteous butt kickers.

Valygar seems to be the best choice....pretty sneaky,Deadly with the elven bow and no woodland creature is safe from his charms

Why you forget Minsc and Boo?! Minsc is a proud ranger and Boo.... well, he's just a giant miniature space-hamster. He is a smart one though. Minsc is also good with the mace! Did you know Boo can teach Minsc how to use new weapons? Butt-kicking, for goodness! ;)

I think that Valygar and Minsc are the best dual-wielding NPC's.

Forscythe 09-18-2004 01:15 AM

I had Minsc ( he now rests in my stronghold) and was totally fine except i decided... hey... if i had a Boss elven Longbow might as well have a dedicated Shooter. (Plus I never really used valygar)

Sure Imoen has the Gesen but i kindah am experimenting with all these new spells.... she really is my main spell caster.

Plus i used Use minsc from BG1, continued my character in BG 2 and Decided the guy needs to chill back at the crib....he'll be back......Butt kicking as usual!!

Keldorn can't use harps in my game... weird.

To answer your original question, Valygar is the NPC you want, undoubtedly.

He's already got ** in two weapon fighting and ** in Katana.

Moon-Child_Lman 09-29-2004 03:37 PM

Yeah, now come to think of it Valygar would be a good character for dual wielding. And yes it is strange, how can an inquisitor use bard harps??? Maybe it's a bug...
