Hi all

I have a dumb question...
You know how mage spells are scribed into your mage book by getting scrolls and clicking the 'write spell' button (or whatever it says) in the inventory screen?

Well...Jaheira happens to have a very crappy reportoire of cleric spells in her preist book, and I was wondering if preists learn spells the same way? in my experience, every preist scroll I've found (and there aren't many) do not have this button option available. Do clerics just have a reportoire of spells that they're 'born' knowing, and thats that? Sorry...dumb question. I'm just not sure.

A Clerics & Druids spell list grows with experience. As they get better so do their spells.

They can not scribe spells.

There are never stupid questions when you are just starting out.

Only stupid people.

It is interesting to note that, while not implemented in the basic game, clerics and druids do have, within the game engine, means to "learn" spells. You just don't find priest candles without modding.

</font>[/QUOTE]LOL you finished my line off for me HEHEHE

Any idea which Mods allow your cleric to learn spells ?

I, personally, am not aware of any. I just know the potential is there.

I would say that you dount need to learn other spells for cleric/Druid if you think they got too litle spells then dount play whit them. And in my opinion Jaheira has Enough and REALY good priest spells:Fire Elemental and more.(Jaheira is a Druid so she dosent go whit Exactly the same spells as a Cleric).

This page shows exactly which spells are open to Clerics, which spells are open to Druids, and which spells are shared by both classes. Druids cannot cast Draw Upon Holy Might, nor can Clerics cast Insect Plague--and, indeed, nor should they.

Jaheira does indeed have access to a few spell that would otherwise be Cleric-only (and a few custom ones, such as Harper's Call), but that's only because BioWare felt that she was really integral to the game and wanted to increase her versatility (along with her stats) accordingly.

To Six: Heh, now I feel like the newbie. What sort of spells does Jah have that she should not normally possess? *excepting Harper's Call of course*

To Lumina: Curse you ... you beat me to that line. :D May Mr Garrison live forever.

I've never heard of this in D&D. Whenever I played, my clerics and druids just prayed for their spells.

Thanks heaps for clearing that up for me.
I spose' I'll just have to settle for the repertoire my priests already have, and learn to use them better :D
