Where is this thing? I want Imoen to wear it, and I read that I can pick one up in Trademeet.
I have looked all over the place and I can't find it. Please help.

Robe of good archmagi is sold by blacksmith in Trademeet, he is in upper corner of Trademeet map, left of Mazzy's house, right of Alibakkar estate (Don't ask me, how comes, that the only robe of good archmagi for sale in whole Amn can be bought from a blacksmith. :confused: )

is it possible to get robe of any other alignment?

The Robe of the Evil Archmagi can be bought in the Underdark. The Robe of the Neutral Archmagi is not available until ToB.

If you do miss out on it, another becomes available in TOB

If you have TOB and enter Watcher's Keep, IIRC one of the mages with the gambling cambion is wearing a Robe of the Good Archmagi (kind of makes me feel guilty if I had a good party that ended up killing the Cambion's bunch). I don't think I've ever cast Know Alignment on any of them... probably would be blocked by magic resistance, as usual.

I just reached this point in my game.

None of my characters have "Know Alignment" memorized, but Aesgerath does radiate evil on a "Detect Evil" casting by Keldorn.

What pisses me off is that fact that you can Detect Evil all day and nobody cares, but a Know Alignment instantly turns the target Hostile. What the....?

Well Six, and I could be wrong here, wouldn't Detect Evil be an innate intuative ability whereas Know Alingment is a spell and they wouldn't take too kindly being cast upon?
