I know through out the game there are many weapons that are in peices. I recently found the Hammer of Thunderbolts +3. I went to the dwarf guy in the docks to see what I was missing for the Equalizer. WEll he said if I could find the Girdle of Storm Giant Strength and a scroll with (I think) His true name on it (?) I could have an awsome weapon. So anyone know where to find these? I am currently in the Underdark area.

Also in the very beginning I found a broken weapon (all it says is "This is all the remains of an enchanted weapon.") Whats it for?

I have found all the peices for the Equalizer, Wave Blade and the Gesen Bow.

If you are in the Underdark you will be able to find that there girdle.

Go to the Kua Toa stronghold on the west side of the Underdark, and enter. Go to the very east of that stronghold and you will find a statue of Demogorgon (that you will recognize if you have Throne of Bhaal). Use a summon creature spell or an item that summons a creature and move it in front of the statue. It will suddenly die and a host of demon knights will appear and attack you. Once you have killed them all one of the bodies will have the Girdle on it, aswell as a nice sword.

To get the scroll with the true name of the Hammer; Crom Faeyr, you need have completed the Shadow Lord quest in the temple ruins and Umar Hill killings. If you go to the Shadow Temple there is a Shadow Dragon in a chamber. If you kill that dragon it will drop the scroll you need and you will be able to craft the Crom Faeyr if you have the Hammer of Thunderbolts, Girdle, Scroll and Gauntlets of Ogre Strength.

Hope that helped

It sure did but I am unsure if I can defeat the Shadow Dragon LOL.

Thanks so much!

The Shadow Dragon is pretty tough. Have you completed the Windspear Hills quest?

If not there are some nifty items, that help kill dragons: Helm, Shield and Sword of Dragonslaying. Also if you have done the unseeing eye quest there is a halberd you will find in the Beholder's lair that can be used against dragons.

Make sure you are all pumped up when you are ready to attack the dragon. What I usually do it surround the dragon from all sides with my party, that way his breath weapons wont hurt me asmuch. Then, if you a mage(s) in your party, make sure they have the 'Lower Resistances' spell (the half shaded heart symbol one) and stock up on charges of that. Lower his resistances and then you will be able to cast spells that will hurt him more. Try this out, and if its not successful, let us know.

Good luck

This is what's left when an "Enchanted Weapon" spell expires. I know of nothing that it can be used for - I've always thought that it was the game designers' way of giving you a little break. After all, the person carrying it couldn't use it against you

There are "broken weapons", "broken armors" and the like out there. They have no use, except for the fact, that they remid you how fragile any existence in this world (and every other) can be )

HAHA well said! :D

I manged to kill the Shadow Dragon and as a bonus got to make Shadow Dragon Armor with the scales. It sold for a pretty penny. All I did was cast haste, resist fear and protection from evil on all characters of mine. Summoned a Fallen Planetar and used a halberd and sword for Dragon slaying. After casting a breach spell I just wupped his dragon ass! But onthe down side I spent all my cash, 250,000, on a **** load of level 9 spells and to make the Equalizer, Silver Sword, Gesen Bow, Shadow Dragon Armor, and the Wave Blade. *sigh* Now to riase the 10,000 gp needed for the Crom Fayer. (however it's spelled)

It is good to hear you accomplished the task. I usually need to do all the stuff I said because I complete that quest before going into the Underdark, so my party isnt as strong as when they come out. Seems I underestimated there.

There will be other quests I should imagine, that will give you the money. What class are you? Maybe you can raise some money from a stronghold.

Class? What do you mean? I was thinking about going to Watcher's Keep as all the quests, that I know of, are done. Well except retore Kangaxx. I have left the underdark and now have to go whup Bodhi. I am so near the end it's not funny. lol
