Heyas everyone
After playing Baldur's Gate I and Baldur's Gate II, I noticed something different about Edwin. In Baldur's Gate I Edwin has a hood on his paper-doll and his 'on-screen appearance' and on Baldur's Gate II he doesnt. I wondered if I could get the hood back, as it makes his appearance fit more with his portrait then. I have notices there and about that some wizards in BGII have a hood (e.g. Mekrath) and some dont. Any help would be appreciated Thanks alot --Kestrel-- |
Put a robe on him. Like the robe of venca. Edit his sprite image in SK.

He already has the Robe of Vecna equipt and he still has no hood.
Its not a big deal I just wondered if I could get the hood back, thats all. Not really important. --Kestrel-- |
Sir Degrader has it mostly right--the hood depends on the "Armor Appearance." If you have the CheatKeys enabled, pressing Ctrl-1 (and possibly Ctrl-2, I forget) will let you cycle through the visual depections of the various armors. Select one of your Warriors and press Ctrl-1, and the four Armor appearances will be displayed: Clothing, Leather, Chain and Plate.
Do the same thing to a Mage and you'll see that they have four Armor Appearances too: Clothing, Lesser Robe (things like Knave's, Cold Resistance, etc.), Greater Robe (Vecna), and Archmagi Robe. Only the 4th Armor Appearance has a hood, so only a Robe of the Evil Archmagi will work to get Edwin's Hood back. Of course, you could always slap Vecna on him and press Ctrl-1. Or, if you know IEEP, change the Robe of Vecna's appearance. |
Thankye all ever so much, it is well appreciated.
