In my current game of BG2/TOB I have created a half-elven berserker PC (no comments on roleplaying, please!) to use as an "unstoppable" tank.
To my dismay, he has already been stunned twice while enraged (the last time while fighting the Warden) and been turned into dog meat. According to the kit description, a berserker is supposed to be immune to "charm, hold and fear, maze, imprisonment, STUN and sleep" while enraged. Is this a bug, or am I doing something wrong ? |
Are you fully patched?

This is a known bug - you can correct it by installing the Baldurdash fixpack from here:
http://www.baldurdash.org/ToB/Fixes/TOBfixes.html Either download the very top file (recommended), or you'll find the particular patch you want here: http://www.baldurdash.org/ToB/Fixes/...unImmunity.zip [ 01-30-2005, 08:15 AM: Message edited by: shamrock_uk ] |
Xen, I only have the final official (version 26498) patch for BG2/TOB from BioWare installed.
Will give the other patch(es) a try - thanks for the link, Shamrock ! |
Now I am turning from STUNNED to CONFUSED ....
After encountering some Umber Hulks, I noticed that while enraged, my berserker PC failed his save against their confusion spell. However, even though the "confusion" graphic effect appeared above his head, the "confusion" symbol did not appear on the character portrait, and the PC remained fully under the player's control. When not enraged, the character was confused, and out of the player's control. This happened with just the official BioWare fixpack installed, and also when the "baldurdash" berserker patch was installed. According to the kit description, immunity to CONFUSION is not one of the spells the character is supposed to be immune to while enraged. This leads me to think that maybe it is not a bug that immunity against STUN is not implemented in the original berserker kit, but that possibly the kit description should list CONFUSION instead of STUN. Any comments on this ? |
It blocks the effect, but the grafixs are unresistable unless save Vs spell..
I'm pretty sure that's how it works, so you don't acidnetaly disspell the confused grafic effect's and then wonder why you've not got control. |
